If they say they accept your insurance, get it in writing! If they say your portion will be $xxx, get it in writing!!! When we first met with them, they said that they did accept our insurance and our portion would only be $350, which I paid in good faith trusting their word. Two weeks later, I get a bill for over $1,000 because the insurance denied the claim. I called my insurance company and found out that they were 'not in our network" and that was about all I could get out of them. So, I called Stillwater Endodontics to see if they would be willing to work with me since they stated that our portion was only going to be $350. NOPE! They stated that I should have looked into the insurance for myself, and they were not willing to reduce the amount and not willing to accept any payments lower than $100 a month, which I currently can't afford. If they would have told me our portion might be anywhere from $350 to $1,400 depending on if our insurance covered it from the start, I would have looked at other options. But they didn't and obviously won't until you owe them. So, please, do yourself a favor and make sure you get everything in writing from them with an absolute final total of your portion -not estimate- and have them sign it before these swindlers even charge you one penny. read more
