My brother (who had also never ridden before), my sisterinlaw, and I went for a guided, late-afternoon ride on the beach and it was THE BEST THING EVER! Bob was our instructor/guide and gave us a quick lesson before we started out. He was there with us the whole time, making sure we felt comfortable, giving us tips, and making fun conversation. He even snapped some amazing pictures of us halfway through the ride. Afterward, there was even time for me to love on my sweet horse, Marina. Definitely good for a small group, couples, singles, and all skill levels. The price was great and booking was easy. I want to go every time I'm in town.

Roland, our trail guide, was outstanding. He has a loving command of the horses as an experienced horse trainer, who is majoring in animal science. His relationship with the horses made us feel secure. He floated back and forth, chatting with each rider and ensuring that everyone was well. APFD, thank you so much for a great time of refreshing as we prepared to enter 2026. I made an online payment to secure the horses and we were on our way. It was a pretty smooth process. The horses were pleasant and not intimidating. Our guide was an experienced rider and answered every question we could of lol. They have many different kinds of animals there, it gives ranch but not farm vibes. *insider tip* They offer 2 different types of rides! A regular trail ride and an "experience" trail ride which includes trotting and cantering. This is good to know so you schedule accordingly. They use different horses for different experiences. Apple Maps kept redirecting me every 5 min and delaying me an extra 20min!, so i would recommend just searching "A Place for Dreamers" and get directions. Just go! They loved it and talked all the way home about the horses and activities especially were impressed with riding the horse to cool off in the pond. These boys were excited to do their first ride and we were so grateful to the staff who spent much effort to insure they knew how to handle these horses. Safety was the watch word. Our escort was just great. She assisted in every way to show the mount/use of reins/dismount. Thank you so much! Immediately the woman says she hates her job while I'm signing my waver the guy has a smart mouth I simply asked if we could go fast instead of being nice he got a huge attitude and said "I don't want to be here anyway so you can do it my way or leave" I said I was fine walking but after all that he goes talks to the lady and comes back and says we smell like we smoked so we can't ride! Mind you I have medical conditions I do not smoke or drink alcohol. I was simply judged by my looks I felt and they were just so rude. They kept my big deposit and left us stranded. I waited outside in the unknown for an uber for two hours. Worst horseback experience of my life and I have been on atleast 30 rides. DO NOT BOOK THEM THEY WANT YOUR DEPOSIT THATS IT I PROMISE.

Some people collect spoons -- I go for rides :) Most of the places I found IN Houston either were English barns with just an arena. This is about 60 miles outside of Houston, but worth the drive, if you want a good ride. They are really nice people, and you go ride on their ranch. There were several ponds, cattle, and lots of great views. It's a husband and wife operation. It's a little bit of a drive from Houston, but I think it's probably the best trail ride around. They are also less expensive than the Houston places. Very accommodating to your schedule. Highly recommend, and would go again

Words can't describe our experience with this ranch!!!…read more Darrell was fantastic to help me coordinate this surprise ride for my sisters birthday and my nephews to go for the first time. Our ride was stunning across the fields and trails on the ranch. And they even picked up my dad in the 4-wheeler to feed the cows while we were horse riding so he felt he could be a part of the day (we had purchased feed for the cows ahead). The entire family enjoyed the ride itself, the guides helped us take photos. Next time we would consider staying in the cabins on the ranch.
