What a nifty dog park, right here in Dorchester!…read more It's spacious, clean, has rock pebbles instead of dirt, a cement circular trail, two nice benches, and some play stones/small boulder type thingies in the center for the kids(four legged ones). Be warned, the benches for parents are NOT shaded. The dog park is kinda hard to find inside the larger park, as it's really big. The dog park is to the far left (depending on where you are) of the park. There is a little neighborhood side street that you can wind your way to that leads directly to the doggie area, and this provides the perfect parking spot. The larger park itself is beautiful. Saw joggers, a few people strolling, and a STUNNING view of the city from the top of one of the hills. I'm glad the park is here. We can go play somewhere nice, and not have to drive all the way to the South End! Hooray for Friends of Ronan Park- I'll be joining very soon!

Whenever we walk in we are kindly greeted and whoever is at the front desk will go get Amanda for us without even needing to ask! My dog is a very anxious pup, we have been kicked out and turned away from other groomers. I was bringing him to the vet for his nails for a while but it was very inconvenient with their business hours and honestly the vet even struggled with him. A couple of years ago, I added a small min pin to our menagerie and wasn't sure how he'd do with so many other dogs, but he also loves going. The staff is genuinely affectionate with the dogs. My dogs always greet the staff with wagging tails and get lots of petting and attention. Amanda does a really great job not only looking after them but with their bathing and grooming. One of them seemed not to be around so she hooked up a motion sensitive webcam next to the litter box to discover that she was safe and sound and just keeping a low profile. I texted her yesterday at 7 AM (Labor Day Monday) in a pickle because we were heading to P-Town for the day. After navigating through our new Smart Lock on the house, she picked up Plum half an hour later and kept her all day. She texted us a pic of Plum and her at a cookout where there were other dogs to socialize with. Plum had a MUCH better day with Wendy yesterday than she would have had with us, even if we'd been home. Cheerful, extremely trustworthy, and LOVES Plum. Don't book her though, because we need her! (You know that part's a joke, right? Book her when you can. Your dog will thank you.)
