These are students, so the assessment portion is very thorough and may be longer than you are used to if you usually go to a spa. You will still get a good-length massage. The quality can vary depending on the student, but overall, I've found the calibre pretty high. Only downside is you can't get insurance coverage because the students are not yet RMTs. But, the rates are cheap (and they often have discount promotions!) and overall, a really good experience!

While shopping around I came across this place and found that bio mats were used during massages. I contacted the owner Jaci Daly, who was super friendly and willing to accommodate my unique request. Since then I've been visiting her place weekly for 1 hr bio mat sessions (on their own & not in combination with any other service) for a very reasonable price. She's got a great space for it (very well kept and cozy) and is always awesome about having candle light and relaxing music on for me at the beginning of each session. I intend on trying one of her massages and will be back to review that too!

It was hard to leave because…read moreI was so enjoying the program but decided that 20 months dealing with the following was not in my cards nor patience spectrum, especially considering the cost. First of all if your looking for the easiest entrance this is your school. Most accredited schools across the country require police check and references. At first I thought great but I think because of the nature of this profession it could be a good idea! Secondly, there seemed to be a fairly new set of teachers and often their material did not match the material given. There was alot of scrambling especially in the anatomy class but then again the teacher was I'll prepared most days. We also had to pay a good amount for the workbooks which were photocopied in black and white and because of the intricacies of body parts it was hard to follow the one of the slide. Sure pictures could be found in textbooks but it's more scrambling for overwhelmed students. Thirdly, textbooks can be found online. I feel like maybe one textbook (realism) might be purchased but you can find most of the them online which a classmate told me about. https://ca1lib.org/book/5435084/618386. Lastly, this was the deal breaker... the desk is a massage table sooooo not ergonomical which is actually funny considering the profession. am still managing issues with my shoulder from only 3 weeks in class. FYI: You need to bring own cleaning and papertowel products for school, washroom and kitchen??? Just anther thing to lug around with you. Lol FYI: On a side note: we were told the first week if you have an concern to contest your marks at the exam we were told students never will be right!! Their are some interesting biases going on in this industry. Besides the above I do think practitioners that really care and passionate about the body and being part of the healing process will a have a wonderful career ahead of them! Good luck all.

As a student, it's a private school so you get no support really (they have no counsellor or…read moreanything). we did not even have a financial advisor (she just quit randomly). a lot of the staff quit and there was constantly new people or shuffling of administration. This lead to a lot of disorganization, chaos and quite frankly, a way more stressful experience for an already VERY stressful program and difficult career path. If you're planning to be an RMT I would go anywhere else, if you value your sanity. A lot of the notes were outdated and so was the equipment. Other than a bitter after taste left in my mouth about the clinic, school and career in general, i am still exhausted. Would not recommend going here.

The massage was so good, and Anton was very experienced and diligent. I checked in, and was treated to water or tea. After filling in a consent form, I was led to the massage quarter by Anton. It was a mattress on the ground with some pillows, with some see through curtains offering limited privacy. There were dimmed and colourful lights, with some groovy exotic background music. I was given a T-shirt and some loose drawstring pants to change, and then Anton walked me through the process. He told me to relax all my muscles - to not resist nor help him in my movements - and that he'd start from the bottom and move upwards. The massage lasted for an hour, and it was the right balance of intensity and comfort. Some parts were of stronger pressure, but when the massage ended, I was so relaxed that I was near asleep! I loved the experience, and will definitely return!

All of the massage therapists are great and I've tried a few different people ( they are all good! ) before I found my favorite person. Reception is always friendly and I appreciate that she always reminds me to book my next appointment because she knows my favorite therapist gets booked up quickly. They always ask you how you are feeling afterwards and I always feel very welcome and comfortable here. You may have to try a few people before you find your perfect "fit" but who knows....maybe you'll find them on your first visit!

But I felt she was telling me I was bigger than I should be and there was a problem. She did not take my silence in response to this question as any kind of response or hint. She forced me to answer this question - ok lady, I sit most of my day for work. Are you happy now with an explanation as to the size of my hips? Absolutely dispicable experience.

I always feel nice and relaxed after a session with her. She lets me know what exercise I can do at home to further help my back issues. Her massage room is such a comfortable room - mood music, pillows, even an eye mask to fully relax. Currently she only works 2 days a week and she has another RMT there to cover the rest of the days (I have never used the other RMT so I can't comment on that, however if Sophi picked her then I know she must be good).
