Showed up as soon as they opened on a Friday morning, ended up taking the individual we worked with (John S.) about an hour to get through everything. He failed to have us sign a form (he had to overnight it to me, then I had to overnight it to my brother, and then back to fidelity) and didn't upload some of our legal documents. I've called back multiple times, and can never get anyone on the phone. I was told to upload said documents that I brought in the first time through their secure online messaging, but the files are too big (unsurprising, these are legal documents). The VP branch leader, Megan Hrabe, called me back, left a voicemail, but no callback number and it's clear from her voicemail that she doesn't understand the frustrations. We are going on THREE WEEKS of trying to finalize all information for a Trustee Certification even though we came prepared to the appointment with all information in hand. Don't waste your time, go to a different branch or move your money elsewhere. We will be.

I've found TD Ameritrade has the best customer service among all the online brokers, and I've tried…read morequite a few. They also have extremely competitive pricing. They may not be the absolute lowest but they are close to it, and with its superior service, it's worth paying incrementally more. If I've ever had an issue, I call them, and they've always taken care of me and answered my questions, and also thrown in some free trades for any inconvenience I may have had. So I'm giving them 5 Stars to the whole online experience and 1-800 call in/telephone customer service. Now these retail stores are a bit different. They can help you with quite a bit including managing your money which is not what I'm using them for, nor what they are known for. I did have one guy from the local office who kept calling me trying to get them to manage my money (for a fee mind you), and he reminded me of the cliche-ish used car salesman. He is now gone. The person who calls me now is much more of a listener rather than pusher, and respects my wishes. If I need to drop off a check, I can do it at this local office, though that's not what the office is there for. If you are looking for an online broker I do recommend TD Ameritrade.
