Friendly service and yummy frozen treats. I love the interior, very cute and creative. There's not that many choices to choose from but I love that! Whatever flavors they actually have are all delicious!

So happy I came across this electric place when I first arrived in Stockholm!…read more You really can't miss this shop since it's decked out in pink! Inside there's even more crazy artwork as the walls and ceilings were painted with crazy cows! There was only 3 flavors when I went (since it was later in the day) and the girl who was working at the counter was super friendly! She offered me to try the 3 flavors with a smile on her face! That never happens with a smile on your face! Anyways, I decided to try the lavender one and some hazelnut almond mixture. I liked both of them a lot but decided to go with the lavender one since it was a bit more unique. They also had Semlas in the store and oddly enough that day was "Fat Tuesday" which meant that it was a "national Semla" day. Since I had to celebrate such a historic holiday, I got the ice cream inside the semla and it was delicious. The way the bread soaked up the ice cream was super satisfying.

I had been using only my credit card in Stockholm, but when I got in to StikkiNikki, I was bummed to find out this place was cash only. The lady was extra nice, and accepted my Euros and gave me SEK back. I had the mocha flavored ice cream in waffle cone, and the single scoop serving was very generous. The waffle cone was crunchy and tasty, but the ice cream just tasted icy and watery as the flavor wasn't infused. Later as I was strolling through the city, I stumbled upon another StikkiNikki that had different flavors, such as Tin Roof (peanut and fudge swirl in vanilla - I was super excited for the crunchy texture!) and salted caramel. I tried those samples and again it was very watery and the flavor wasn't infused. If this were the United States these would be baller flavors... Side note, why do Scandinavians like their licorice so much?! There was a salted licorice flavor, and all over the grocery stores, there are licorice candies. I remember when I went to Iceland there was licorice everywhere as well.

A small, ice cream bar, specialising in exotic flavours…read more We had cones with two different ice creams, and thereby tried saffron with honey, Tonka bean, raspberry and lime, and a mango sorbet with jalapeño peppers. The ice creams were all very nice indeed, although the mango sorbet with jalapeño peppers is possibly an acquired taste... The portions were also very generous, so we would recommend having only a single scoop of ice cream - you have the option of having two flavours in one scoop. Two scoops comes to just under £5, which sounds a lot, but it is a lot of ice cream (and would be far too much for a child). As well as the traditional cones, you can have small cartons. They also do ice cream to take away. A nice touch is that you can have a small taste before you decide which ice cream you want to buy.

StikkiNikki boasts all natural and organic ice cream and you can really taste the difference. The flavours are very interesting and true to it's name. I had the beetroot lemon sorbet and sea salt olive oil to share. Pretty much a salad in ice cream form. It may not sound the most delicious but boy was it good! If you're a beet lover, you will definitely like the beetroot. There were also actual pieces of beets in it resulting in an interesting sorbet texture. The first impression of the sea salt olive oil ice cream was a creamy vanilla with a hint of salt but as you savour it, you can taste the delicate olive flavour within Thankfully, they are super generous with their scoops yummy ice cream (see photo). Just can't get enough. StikkiNikki is so good! Must try when in Stockholm. Highly recommended.

The shop itself is fairly small, but LOTS of options. There were the standard truffles, buy also pastries and other chocolate bars and goodies. The person working was very kind and helpful - and patient! I was picking up a lot of gifts and definitely took up a bit of her time, but she packed everything nicely and even wrote everyone's name on the boxes so I didn't have to try to remember which box went with which person. Would definitely recommend a stop here to satisfy your sweet tooth.

I asked the guy who worked there what his favorite ice cream flavors were and he recommended the manjariglass which has chocolate chunks from Madagascar and the tiramisu. The manjariglass was good but my sister and I both liked the tiramisu better. My sister wanted the kaffeglass because she likes coffee ice cream but there were chocolate chips in it which she wasn't expecting. I'm giving this place five stars because I can't think of any way that this chocolate shop could be improved. They serve desserts, chocolates, ice cream, and drinks. There's also a webcam of the kitchen that shows them preparing the chocolates. Prices are very reasonable and the people who work here are some of the nicest strangers I've met in Sweden. The shop itself is adorable as well. I'll have to try the truffles next time because they're supposed to be good!

My family and I were walking along the small streets of Gamla Stan just exploring. We weren't specifically looking to get ice cream and the thought hadn't cross our minds actually but when we approached this cafe, we knew we had to. They purposefully have an employee sitting by the window (and they keep their windows wide open) making waffle cones fresh. We got two cones. One cone with banana chocolate and classic chocolate and another cone with two scoops of the saffron flavour. The ice cream was flavourful and refreshing, especially with the fresh waffle cone. The saffron flavour was my favourite, I'd highly recommend it. It was so good we literally came back the next night for more. There are many ice cream cafes in Gamla Stan but I'm glad we decided to go to this particular one.
