So happy I came across this electric place when I first arrived in Stockholm!…read more You really can't miss this shop since it's decked out in pink! Inside there's even more crazy artwork as the walls and ceilings were painted with crazy cows! There was only 3 flavors when I went (since it was later in the day) and the girl who was working at the counter was super friendly! She offered me to try the 3 flavors with a smile on her face! That never happens with a smile on your face! Anyways, I decided to try the lavender one and some hazelnut almond mixture. I liked both of them a lot but decided to go with the lavender one since it was a bit more unique. They also had Semlas in the store and oddly enough that day was "Fat Tuesday" which meant that it was a "national Semla" day. Since I had to celebrate such a historic holiday, I got the ice cream inside the semla and it was delicious. The way the bread soaked up the ice cream was super satisfying.

I had been using only my credit card in Stockholm, but when I got in to StikkiNikki, I was bummed to find out this place was cash only. The lady was extra nice, and accepted my Euros and gave me SEK back. I had the mocha flavored ice cream in waffle cone, and the single scoop serving was very generous. The waffle cone was crunchy and tasty, but the ice cream just tasted icy and watery as the flavor wasn't infused. Later as I was strolling through the city, I stumbled upon another StikkiNikki that had different flavors, such as Tin Roof (peanut and fudge swirl in vanilla - I was super excited for the crunchy texture!) and salted caramel. I tried those samples and again it was very watery and the flavor wasn't infused. If this were the United States these would be baller flavors... Side note, why do Scandinavians like their licorice so much?! There was a salted licorice flavor, and all over the grocery stores, there are licorice candies. I remember when I went to Iceland there was licorice everywhere as well.

As for my dish I got the pasta but it wasn't memorable. Lacked salt, flavor, and texture. For dessert I tried the not chocolate, chocolate cake and I disliked it so much I couldn't even have more than a bite. BUT I will say the whipped cream served with it to be the best bite of the night. Sweet, creamy, and perfectly whipped. Came here after reading a recommendation from Marcus Samuelson but left feeling underwhelmed with fishy smelling fingers.

We had luck getting a table without reservations and were actually the last to leave. We ordered a yummy cheese plate to start and I had the mussels in white wine sauce. It was lobster season in Stockholm so I couldn't help but order some seafood. The food was really really good. The cheese was selected by the chef and he did not disappoint, giving us a nice variety of cheeses as well as jams/dried fruits to compliment to strong flavors. My mussels were probably the biggest portion I've ever ordered. The sauce was amazing and the fries were unbeatable. I would definitely suggest this place to anyone in the area.

Only disappointment was that in a lot of the other dishes (not pictured) the meat was a bit dry including their signature chicken and steak. Grilled lamb 9/10 : My meat was a little dry but still very yummy and well seasoned. The side sauce/butter complimented the meat very well and was delicious. And the potatoes were heavenly with just enough crunch with a buttery softness. And the tomatoes added an acidic bite that cut into the richness quite well. Swedish meatballs: 11/10 the best in Sweden that we tried on our trip! Homemade and super tender with a delicious sauce and lingonberries. Panna Cotta 10/10 : This is my favorite dessert and it was made really well here. The peaches were fresh and the Panna cotta was light and not too sweet. I'm not a big fan of the crumble but it tastes really well especially the sorbet which was just divine. Tip: Might need a recommendation, but walk in for small groups might be doable as well

Large amount of crayfish but also lots of mayo. Fish eggs add a subtle popping texture and salty balance to the otherwise creamy, buttery dish. Dish is fairly small yet satisfying since it's packed with seafood. Novel dish that I would recommend getting. You don't ever see this at brunch places in the states.

It is clean, fairly well layed out. Packaging can be confusing for instance whole bean coffee feels like ground coffee. I like their bakery, particularly the bread that has dried cranberries. And get the French butter. I love the ICA fruit Museli and will take several package home. I wish the US sold filmolk but kevir is almost as good on the Museli. . I did not find Felix mango curry sauce. That has a mayonnaise consistency and is delicious on sandwiches or to dip in. Had to go to Hemkoff for that. Some stores require that you scan your receipt to exit. This store does not. That is a plus when you are either just looking or didn't find what you want. You likely will find nearly anything you want here. And checkout their bakery doughnuts. What a neat way of displaying them.
