BEST POKE IN THE WORLD... IMO…read more I live in west LA and most poke places go out of businesses after a couple years except for a place called Sweetfin.... Sweetfin has NOTHING on butterfish. I've eaten poke all over SoCal and Hawaii and Butterfish hands down is the bestttttt! I for real would invest in opening a BF in LA. Also, I was having a really bad day and I accidentally ordered my bowl at the wrong location and they were so nice and made me a new bowl at this location. The customer service is great, the portions are fire, the price is THE BEST, and the curation of each bowl's ingredients is ART. I'd love to see some cauliflower rice in place of rice.... And please come to LA. You can charge double and the people will come. I promise!

There are plenty of seats if you want to dine in, but we usually order takeout. The bruschetta is one of my favorites; it's light and fresh, and the bread is perfectly toasted while still soft inside. We also love the RCBA, Spicy Carbonara, Roma Rigatoni, and the Spaghetti and Meatballs. I love their sauce. It's not sweet like some other Italian places. Their salads are always fresh and delicious, and my picky eater son loves their spaghetti. Pho 99 ended up being a really pleasant surprise…read more I was nearby getting my car washed at McKinley Hand Car Wash and had about 30-45 minutes to kill, so I decided to grab pho while I waited. Originally, I was planning to go to another pho spot nearby that I've been going to since high school, but as I walked past Pho 99, I looked inside and decided to give it a shot instead. I'm really glad I did. The restaurant was about 20% full when I arrived, so I was seated immediately. Service was prompt and friendly, and the food came out quickly. The pho itself was fantastic. Rich broth, good portions, and everything tasted fresh. They also had all the classic condiments and table setup you'd expect from a good traditional pho restaurant, including hoisin, sriracha, soy sauce, chili flakes, salt, pepper, chopsticks, spoons, and napkins already set out and ready to go. They also brought out the standard herb plate with bean sprouts, jalapeños, citrus, and fresh herbs, which is always appreciated. Drink selection was solid too. I ended up having a Tsingtao beer along with my pho. One funny thing was that when I sent a picture of the pho to my girlfriend and a few friends, multiple people immediately asked where I was because the bowl looked that good. Overall, I was genuinely impressed. Great service, excellent pho, easy location, and now I know I have a really solid pho spot within walking distance whenever I get my car washed nearby. Definitely coming back.

Stepping in, the space is always clean and you're hit with the smell of the broth stewing, the space is small so it may look contained for someone new coming in. The service is incredible by all staff, I have never had anything but genuine encounters there. When seated you see the standard: chili oil, peanuts, hoisin sauce, chopsticks, broth spoons, napkins, sugar etc and when receiving your pho they always give you a bag with lime slices, mint, bean sprouts, and tiny containers of hoisin and chili oil (if taking to go). I understand it's a "fish n chips" place, but the odor should be pleasant when walking in, not overwhelming as mine experience was. I had been wanting to try this place for a while now. I would drive past it when heading to Fashion Fair Mall but just never got around too until now. Service was good, the lady taking our order was nice at explaining any dishes we were curious about. I asked how big the fish pieces were and she explained they were like ten inches long and I was shocked, like WOW. So I went ahead and ordered the two piece fish n chips. The kitchen is right behind the cash register so you can clearly see them making the food, which is nice. So you know that you are actually getting fresh food. Our food took less than ten minutes yo be served. Just from the look of it, the good looked freshly made. When I saw how big the fish pieces were I was really surprised because they were the biggest fish n chips I had ever had. Both the fish and fried were sizzling hot. I tried the fried first, and they had a very nice crunch to them, just the way I like them, not soggy at all. They had great flavor as well. The fish however, was very greasy. It had too much coating on it. I would squeeze it and my fingers would be covered in grease. The tarter sauce they provided was good, it complimented the plain flavor of the fish nicely. All in all, maybe I would go back in the future, but to try something different. This place is good for a one time visit, just to try it out the fish n chips, but all the time, no.

It looks simple but the chicken was so flavorful. My favorite part of the meal was the AMAZING hot sauce that came with the chicken and rice.
