Today we (well, I) decided we should head to the library for the in-person story time to meet Ms. Katie! The story time was great; we read a few books based around a theme and sang several songs. After all the songs and stories Katie brought out a bunch of toys for the children to play with and they loved it. The kids area all regulars and know what's up because they recognized the games and were ready to play. The librarian knew all their names and when she came to thank us for coming (since we were the newbies!) I mentioned that we wanted to come in person once since we have been doing the online story time and she remembered my baby's name. Without me prompting her at all--she remembered her from the one or two story times we've attended on zoom. That was so very sweet and honestly, Ms. Katie is just the best. If we lived closer to this branch we'd be here often (unfortunately Ravenswood is about 30 minutes away even when there's no traffic). The library itself is quite nice.
