After calling several of other places to get inspected; I found that this was the only place I could go to to get a sticker on the same day. The other places had first appointment at least 3 weeks away. You do however need to wait.....and wait..... and wait. There's only one guy doing it so you can expect to wait up to two hours in the little waiting area. No TV and NO BATHROOM. You can't leave or you'll loose your spot in line. I still give it four stars because you'll still get your sticker on the same day. read more

0 stars!! Don't come here, the staff is incredibly rude and condescending, lack customer service training and do poor work. I went in for an oil change in 2017 (according to bank statements) which was done by a younger man who was training under someone else, turns out he spilled oil all over the interior hood (discovered by a diff mechanic) which I only noticed when I periodically had the AC on. I immediately came back and was recognized by the guy who trained the new employee (almost like he was expecting me.) He wiped down the oil and I waited for about 10 mins. He took ownership of what happened. Writing my name and vehicle info down in a book promising the next time I come in the service would be on him. After months of procrastination and my busy schedule, a year later I finally went in ONLY because I was promised an oil change & I was due for one. The two men at the reception were cold and unwelcoming concluding that what I was telling them was false because he didn't recognize me!!? I've never seen you a day in my life either, sir? What's your point. Is there any type of record keeping or accountability? I come from customer service and understand that people lie but I also understand what it means to honor an agreement. To blatantly shut down what I had to say without doing any type of fact-checking was just rude. I have been here twice and as for most of these comments which are crazy they are walkin first come first serve basis use common sense when walking in just like motor vehicles,or on the phone with DHHS the earlier the better or call and ask if they have there quota of inspections for the day if not the person there will let you know how many vehicles are before you if you want to attempt to wait that day,or try for another day,its 9:55 am and I'm number 2 on the list. I have called and also while sitting there if the inspector is by the ph0ne and not inspection DOING HIS JOB then he will answer,the inspector has answered all my questions to the best of his knowledge,is he smiley a talkative person? Straight forward with bland answers? Sure,is that his personality ‍ possibly,I dont really know him but I guess know how to read and understand people so whatever it is he does his job(what I've observed well and efficient(call me crazy but that's what I look for,and i am beginning to learn not to trust ANYONE hahaha the fact he has a door with a window and then another window that you can look through if you want to watch is wonderful! Its been the same guy twice here with long hair havent caught his name yet but to me seems like hes a great worker,tries to get you in and out as soon as possible just when it's your turn for your inspection it would make things faster to be ready with key and registration in hand also he goes on lunch break and closes the door(or tries to go by 1:30 and is done at 2:00? )no public bathroom,so best if you empty your bladder before its 10:22 and 2 other people just came in the last one to step through the door would he number 4 and has about an hour wait(to give you a time and number frame my vehicle is now in there hope this all helps also the sitting area is nothing GRAND but you have a seat(so you dont have to stand,you have music so you dont have to sit there in silence and you just wait hope all this info helps 18.50 pass or fail,check engine light automatically is a fail i highly recommend this place but like others who dont understand and get people and dont call or read have there own opinions this is mine read more

This place is extremely rude and I waited 2 hours for two cars in front of me to get inspected. They failed the guy in front of me and normally they give you 2 weeks to fix what's wrong and come back but he ended up having to pay again. I don't recommend going here they will do whatever they can to take your money and probably will fail you for no reason like they did to me and many others. Went in for a sticker today to be told after the inspection was complete that my vehicle failed due to a broken tail light housing (the directional works fine). I asked the attendant why he couldn't have just told me that from the beginning before making me wait, and he just shrugged and said sorry. The other attendant came in to charge me, and I said I thought it was bull$!it that they pulled that, to which he shoved my money and registration off the desk at me and told me to leave. I left the money on the counter, took my registration, and left. I have been using this place for the past several years, and once before was told about something up front, I got it fixed and returned. Two vehicles and a motorcycle I would bring here, and I have suggested this place. None of this will happen again. I will deter people from going to any place dishonest, and I will take my business elsewhere. read more

Like the other reviews, they never answer their phone. They always say 1 or 1/2 hour wait that turns into over 2 hours. You have to ask at the desk, they don't post an expected wait time anywhere. The workers act like they are dead on the inside. They are not fast, the parking lot and the waiting room are cramped and awkward. There is no guarantee they will inspect your vehicle, they just go at their own pace and if they don't get to you, you get to try again some other time. So the whole time your waiting you don't know what is going on, and you have to be there in case they get to your vehicle. read more

The guy working (I do t know if it was the owner) was EXTREMELY RUDE & said he was closing. My husband asked if he had time for a quick sticker, as it's a newer vehicle & wouldn't have a problem passing & the guy just waved his hand at us & walked off, saying he was done for the day. Quick in, quick out. I've been here maybe 6 or 7 times now. I know that if I go in with my fingers crossed that they won't find what I know is wrong or if I need new tires or brakes that they won't find it. They will and I will have to pay twice. I got to hear folks when I am almost sure my vehicle will pass. I regularly try to service my car and try to pay attention if something feels off. I don't drop a ton of money, just keep it safe and reliable. With that said, these guys are a quick way to sticker your car if you're due. Don't have them fix anything, don't have them try to pass a hooptie. Just go here, get your sticker quickly, and go on about your day. Could use comfier chairs in the waiting room, but other than that no complaints. read more

This place is a con job. Was failed for blinkers that are working just fine, factory tint on a car that was purchased in Arizona that has never had an issue with inspection before. A bumper that wasn't secure? The bumper is completely secure, out side of a clip on the left side that has it flaring a quarter inch from the car farring. I was told to bring it here due to it being quick, it wasn't and full of shit. Cleary a money grab load of crap. Who ever M.L. Is should be shit canned yesterday. I'm adding more to this after close inspection of everything I was failed on. The light issue was a bold face lie. The tint is less than 35% via Maine law and is factory there for it isn't capable of being failed. And the bumper issue first doesn't fall under pass or fail and secondly isn't an issue as they claim it to be. This place is run by clowns and they're crooks. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE, THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS AND CLOWNS. I have reported them to the state police and the better business bureau. I hope they're shut down. Taking up prime real estate in a growing town that could use one less garbage heap of a staff. read more

These guys are the best! I'm never going anywhere else for a state inspection. Brought my girlfriend's car in, after another place told her the car needed $1000 of work to pass inspection, Sticker Station let us know that we only REALLY needed sway bars to pass. Which we got done for less than $200. I have a newer car, so today I tried to go to a place offering "Free State Inspections". They told me I needed $500 of work on my brakes. I went to Sticker Station for a second opinion. They let me know that my brake pads are worn, but did in fact PASS state inspection standards. They also went above and beyond by giving me a basic quote of what I should need to pay. I can't sing their praises enough! Stop getting ripped off by garages trying to take advantage! Go straight to Sticker Station for your state inspections. read more

Went here for the first time today. Heads up they're walk in only but I went in, signed in on the sign in sheet and my car was inspected in under 20 minutes for under $20. Honestly, why the hell have I been going to quirk Chevrolet for three years when these guys are way better, faster, and cheaper? Hands down incredible service . I pass by this location every day, and having it be so convenient was the main reason I came...that and I can just drive in without an appointment. I went around the lunch hour and he quickly brought my car into the garage and gave a very thorough inspection. He was very friendly and also asked if I needed an oil change or my tires rotated. I did not, but appreciated the inquiry. The price is reasonable as well. Will be back next year! read more

I have brought both my vehicles here many times over the last few years and have never had any problems. Don't know who was working there in 2017 & 2018, but I have never had a problem since 2020. Always the same guy so I he might be owner now. He may not be warm and fuzzy but he has never been rude and always professional. Time waiting in line is reasonable. If we wait until the last day of the month for inspection we deserve to sit and wait. Not his fault we are slackers so don't complain about waiting in line. He has alway been professional with me. Both my vehicles failed inspection summer 2021. Newer car needed new tires for the first time. Older car had a rusted exhaust system that turned out to be a big $ repair. Didn't take him long to see the problem and he was 100% correct. Got both vehicles repaired then went back for a sticker. Saturday mornings can be busy and he is usually alone but I have no problem waiting my turn. I wish I had given him a good review sooner-- but I have recommended him to other people. read more

The Sticker Station have three locations: Biddeford, Westbrook and Sanford. I have used both the Biddeford and Westbrook stations for inspections in the last three years. I discovered the Westbrook one first after checking my 2000 Volvo V70 at two other locations in Portland who left me with a list of items worth over $1500. The most dishonest (Portland Motor Sales at the corner of Washington and Veranda) wanted me to change the rear wiper washer, something that is not even required by E Class inspection and said that the frame was bent ($$$ to repair), something I got checked by a Volvo dealership and wasn't true. Anyway, many garages take advantage of the inspection program but the Sticker Station don't because that is essentially what they do: inspections, along with oil change, wipers and bulbs. So there is no conflict of interest. The inspection station gave me a list of a couple of items including brakes and a head light reflector that needed to be replaced (something the two other garages didn't even see!). I got these done for ~$300. I have got four inspections done since for two vehicles at the Sticker Stations in Westbrook and Biddeford and in two instances nothing needed to be done, wipers and bulbs in two other occasions. All inspections should be handled this way. Fast and friendly service. Highly recommended. read more

They told me that I needed new wiper blades and a couple of bulbs. Should they replace them? In the back of my mind I say, hey maybe you should ask the price, a thought I dismissed because for years service techs and auto parts stores have done it for free. How much could it be? The painful answer is $71. Yeah, $71 for an ordinary set of blades and a couple of bulbs and putting them on. I was complicit in getting screwed, but I felt screwed. Not again. You can only take somebody once before you never see them again. Sayonara, Sticker Station. Bernie's, right across the Street, has my business. And I will tell anyone who asks that if you go to the sticker shop, ask questions. And be prepared to pay twice for your inspection if you fail. I was first in line upon arriving with my vintage BMW roadster. Mike opened at precisely 8 am, and that's where things went downhill. Not even a hello or good morning, despite my attempt to engage. I wanted to say a few things to him about the car, but didn't even get eye contact. It was clear that a 60'ish guy driving a classic vehicle was not going to get out of here without being rejected. The car has 3000 miles since its last inspection where I needed brakes and tires - which I gladly replaced. Since then it's been in storage. Sure enough he found silly, minor things that are not even remotely safety related. My passenger side window opens slugglishly - now really? Is that an issue? It's a convertible after all and only driven occasionally. After tugging and pulling on the front wheels, he said there's a little play. Really? Every car has a little play. It was balanced and aligned 3000 miles and passed inspection then. The front end is as tight as can be. The car doesn't drive in winter when potholes are rampant in Portland. It was clear that something was gong to be found, as he gladly sliced off a corner of my current sticker like a scarlet letter. The inspection game in Maine continues, and stations like this are completely subjective. I will never return here. read more

I have very mixed feelings about this location, but will never give them any work in my future. The Good: they (Nate) did a prior MC and car inspection, plus oil change, and all went very professional and as expected. The Bad: I brought in another car, and all heck broke loose. Rejected and misdirected (Mike and Freddy ) about the possibility of 2 tiny auxiliary marker light bulbs out - as I quoted the ME State guidance that "auxiliary lights...added to a vehicle or installed as optional .. by the manufacturer are not required to function" per a 2013 update, with all else looking good, and they refused to discuss anything except that it's not the way they do inspections. Very dissatisfied, never going to any Sticker Station again. read more

I arrived at 1130am on wed April 20 and there was a sign saying they were at lunch but no time telling me when it started or when they would be back. I left and came back at 12:35 and there was a girl bringing a car into the garage but the door still said out to lunch and it was locked. The lady was bringing a car into the garage and I was standing at the door and she never looked up at me open the garage door drove in shock right behind her I waited for a few minutes to see if she was going to come unlock the door and she didn't so I left I get that they need to take a lunch but there's no customer service there Very disappointed read more

Do not go here! I am a young female and these guys had attitudes and treated me very poorly. They unnecessarily charged me for a full inspection despite them knowing it would fail right away. Fool me twice... I have been going to this place for my inspection for years. I take two cars to this place. This last year they failed me for tinted windows, even though they passed me the years before. Despite clearly knowing they wouldn't pass, they still charged for checking the tint (a 1 second measurement) plus removing the front windows plastic. And they left a sticky mess. 12.50 became 50 dollars. I bring the other car in and they failed me for a crack in the windshield wiper, which was working perfectly. Did not even notice it before bringing it here. 12.50 became 40 bucks this time. They charged for the wiper and installation. These people are scam artists. Do not take your car here, for I'll be taking my business elsewhere from now on. Poor service, dishonest behavior when they know they have the upper hand. In other states, if you fail an inspection you have a chance to fix and redeem. Maine State law lets them charge a second time instead. If you are pressed for time and don't want to waste your money, you just pay to get it fixed right there. These people know it and they squeeze their customers for any extra dollar they can. Do not get your inspection here, look elsewhere. read more
