Get a new shift supervisor!! At the one that just opened on 150 Crystal Run Road in Middletown This afternoon I saw this woman reach so far over into the freezer to get a couple of small scoops of ice cream for a cone... (I was in before and there was no problem getting the ice cream to stay on the cone. And bigger scoops of ice cream too.) Don't crush the ice cream with a cup to make it fit. It still fell off the cone! And was not polite about getting the order either. When will our people learn it's just going to comeback at you. You can't chase away everyone you don't want in the store. We know what your problem is and we will end it with prayer for you and your staff. read more

I worked for Stewart's in Washington Heights Middletown, NY for 6 months and it was the worst place ever by far!!!! The only thing corporate is worried about is saving money in hours and working their employees to death. They expect you to work from 3pm to 7 or 8pm or any time of the day by yourself or any day of the week but the worst days are Friday, Saturday and Sundays. You still need to have food and coffee made, make sure you don't forget to check the entire store for temperature check. You have to also ring customers while scooping ice cream and making shakes. Every time you make a shake the machine needs to be cleaned. On top of that, you have to count two registers and count lotto scratch offs at 3pm and then again at 6pm. If not you get written up if at the end of the night there's a discrepancy. When truck comes they also expect you to do your share in putting it away. How?! How can you manage all that by yourself and put truck away? When you work by yourself and you have a drive off you get written up if you don't use the speaker. Drive off is when people pump gas first then don't come in to pay. You're entitled to a 20 min break if you're working with someone, but it's a free 20 min break you don't have to punch out because if the store gets busy you have to stop eating to go ring a customer or help out. It doesn't matter if your shift is 4 hours or 8. The store manager is rude and nasty to her employees and customers. The regional and district managers know about it and have done absolutely nothing. So many employees have complained and so have customers but no one from corporate have called any customer back. I know because customers have confided in me. Employees have left or asked for transfers because of her. If in the hours that you're by yourself and you have to use the bathroom, good luck because you can't. I always like stopping at this Stewart's because it is on my way to work. When I stop in the morning around 6. I usually grab a quick bite for breakfast. As of lately the woman in the morning shift (weekdays) is real rude and nasty. Sorry you don't like your job. I am always polite please and thank you. I do not come to your store asking for your nasty attitude. Maybe you should go work somewhere else. I will go to quick check. read more

gas prices are low, comparable to citgo on dolson and sunoco in middletown workers there are refreshing... smiles.. polite.. trying to small talk without being annoying subs are good.. chilli is the best but dont wait until the end of the day because it sits all day in a heated pot this place is clean and puts me in a good mood.. read more

Always, always short staffed. Always! Food selection is minimal to nothing and we are constantly waiting to have food made, especially on the weekends. Asked for a root beer float and was told we had to get the root beer. So disappointing. Really need to care more about your customers and their needs. The Stewart's in GOSHEN is worth the extra 15 minute drive. This one is literally down the block. read more

I am a big fan of Stewarts Shops. I love their fresh fairy products free air and brilliant staff. I am so glad they put a store on Route 78! This store is awesome and is always busy because this area needed this store. I think Stewarts as a company hires great people who provide great customer service. Once in a while you get a dud but most of their employees, in my experience over the decades, are great people doing a great job. For this area that is a real plus! They could do better treating their employees & anticipating restocking what sells but overall they do a great job providing quality products and setting store hours to fit the area and clientele needs. read more
