Kahane Law Office

I want to thank Jeff Kahane for personally reaching out to me after learning of some concerns we…read morehad after working with them to purchase our home. I was under the impression that they had to send our title to our HOA but after speaking with Jeff he clarified that land titles is not only running behind, but that they typically don't send that off to anyone but the home owner. He pulled our title and emailed me a copy right away. There was also some miscommunication between the sellers of the house and their lawyers regarding city tax payment, resulting in us being charged a penalty for late payments (payments that were due before we took possession). When I discussed this with Jeff he said that he would look into this further as it seems their paperwork was correct and the sellers were supposed to have paid for the month. Jeff called me back right away to confirm this was the case and is working with the other law office to get us reimbursed. I did have some issues with phone calls not being returned, but after speaking with Jeff he informed me that our contact there had been on holidays and apologized for any lack of communication on their end. I am quite impressed with Jeff and his desire to ensure good customer service. I really appreciate his taking the time to clarify some misunderstandings and to help me better grasp what their role is in the process of securing our home.

We hired brian on a very complex case against the grandparents that were given rights in Quebec and we won in Alberta ! He wrote astonishing affidavits, and presented the case extremely well. It been 2 years since he won the case and I have since moved back out east and he still give me advise when I need reassurance on some details of the case. I have dealt with so many lawyers between Ontario Quebec and Alberta and I'm so glad we finally found a lawyer that did not rip me off, is all about the action and does the job above and beyond Thanks Brian, because of your amazing work my sons are safe.

Extremely unprofessional in his conduct and terrible attention to detail. What's even more alarming…read moreis the fact that after some research into the judicial system and previous rulings... I have put forward ideas to help my case which Brian immediately shut down, saying that I was "completely wrong and didn't know what I was talking about". After some back and forth, I decided to relinquish Brian from his duties as my lawyer and solace to the matter was... when I represented myself in court - I was actually correct. So saving grace was... thank god I fired him and represented myself. Moral of the story is... if a person without the 10 years of legal education and x amount of years of experience fairs better in court than the supposed "lawyer"... I think that speaks to the lawyer's credentials.
