Disclaimer: Everything said in this post is my own personal opinion and cannot be relied on as…read morefact. I can't be happier that my spouse chose Resolve Legal Group to represent her in our divorce because her case was idiotic and she lost. She spent about $20,000 on a parenting rights/home possession case after filing an emergency application in Family Court. A 1st year lawyer was assigned to keep costs down and sat on the case for ~6 months. Then Resolve assigned an "experienced" lawyer (didn't have 3 years' experience from what I could determine) at a much higher cost. The case kept going to Morning Chambers and was delayed partly because of his ambush techniques and partly because of my ex-wife's affidavits. Her lawyer communicated late Fridays. Then he submitted an affidavit the day before court after getting a fiat to allow him to do so in Morning Chambers. The case was postponed again because my lawyer didn't have a chance to read it, but it was another $3k in my ex-wife's lawyer's pocket right? (I believe that he charged around $3k for a court appearance.) So every delay was 'ching ching' in his pocket. While sitting on the bench waiting, he appeared to be working on other cases on his laptop thus was he double billing? Her affidavits were full of hearsay and contained accusations that had nothing to do with parenting. I can't believe the Resolve lawyer did not advise her that hearsay was not evidence. Word to the wise, stay on topic. She was trying to assassinate my character, but emails to herself describing the names I called her during arguments are hearsay and not evidence. Note to self, if there is no witness you "can" devote a paragraph to hearsay but do not inundate your affidavit with pages of emails or notes in a diary as it is not evidence (without a witness). This kind of hearsay creates an impression with the judge that there is extreme turmoil that harms the child. But the judge will not assign blame, one reason is because people usually do not go around swearing at their spouses without being provoked. Another accusation involved 'disappearing' money without evidence. The case is about parenting and possession of home! If money disappeared she should have filed a criminal case. It won't be solved in Family Court. Judges in Alberta are known to be the worst in Canada. The male judges, 9 times out of 10 in my opinion are the biggest self-important egotistical a-holes I have ever seen and they do not follow the law. They bark. They are as rude as possible and many times don't hear arguments. In 2017, Robin Camp, an Alberta Federal judge advised a rape victim on the witness stand that if she did not wish to be raped she should have kept her knees together. That's the Alberta legal system in a nutshell. Worst of all, these Alberta judges give 'interim' orders which make no sense and infringe on your rights. By "nature" they are deemed 'imperfect'. So you cannot appeal these orders even if they are illegal by taking away all of your legal and Charter rights. You can however go to court to 'change' them. I did not have a chance to as my case was over the day a female judge took over. In Morning Chambers there was a different judge every time; bizarre. The female judge, unlike the males, was not rude at all and sympathetic. She gave me shit, which I deserved, so she did not pick sides. She was no-nonsense, only valued real evidence, however, she did comment on the hearsay evidence and how it affected the child. She affirmed that the child is the most important factor in her decision. The Legal Aid lawyer assigned to the child reported that the child wanted to stay with his father. This is critical even if your kid is under 14. Kid's views matter. I provided real evidence as to how I was involved in the child's education and health. I had emails to his school and their responses, and I arranged and took the child to every medical or psychological appointment. I coached his soccer team etc. That evidence and the child's statement won the case. Note, deny every hearsay accusation made against you. No explanation, just say that "it is my belief that these accusations are false". It is up to the accuser to prove them. Email 'signatures' from Resolve Legal show Consumer Choice Awards. In today's world, a PR firm can be hired to game any online rating system. Their website reviews read as if a lawyer wrote them. Look to various chat groups about lawyers and you will read the truth. Resolve Legal Group supplied a lawyer to my ex who was so inept it is my belief he helped win me the case; charged double what my ex was told. According to her, he said I would pay for his fees which doesn't happen when you lose a case. Ex-wife is in shock, has to move, is out $20k. It is my belief Resolve took a brain-injured woman on disability to the cleaners without a second thought. Took a chunk of her life savings. She'll never get it back. I guess ethics and morality is an option. I do not recommend Resolve Legal Group.

I verified his statement by seeing my co-partner, my / the web-Designer (Brad Taylor's Nephew / as I forgot his name--but he worked under DINER DELUX's restaurant)--"Yes, I made you a copy, Lisa." He (Mr. Zinner or his "office") then sent me a REGISTERED LETTER that I signed and picked up from my Bankers Hall P.O. Box at a certain DATE--that has been recorded. However, the COURT DATE was set up at an earlier time (now in the past)--that I couldn't attend of course. I did not attend that court date, so when I inquired again with a LETTER back to Mr. Zinner, about this registered letter ERROR--no response. This was when I was younger--now I am a wise woman, and I would like to share my experience with others. I feel, this was not "correct" communication by a lawyer--up-holding the law. They are the most dysfunctional and inept law firm I have ever encountered. From their communication skills to the cost of their services, it is all wrong. It is difficult to get in contact with anyone, they charge way too much for what they do (or don't do). When I finalized the estate they were aware any funds were going into an account that was noted on ALL the paperwork. Yet they still were discussing wires and cheques. The only good thing I can say is that they are in Airdrie. But I would have gone to Toronto for a better lawyer, and I dislike anything east of Winnipeg.

Where to begin with "Trusted" aka "Can't Be Trusted" Divorce services! Call any lawyer within the…read moreCalgary area they will give you 20 min free consult with a paralegal and say stay away from this place!! HERE A receptionist will do your intake and give you a quote and tell you mediation is good for you? First red flag! Not what Zeina promotes on her website. Do your research! "successfully helped 30,000 divorces" but only 37 very inaccurate google reviews? Nothing in reviews aside from names of 3 employees including her the owner/mediator Zeina was true in any nature. If you are a stay at home parent, have Primary Day to Day of your Child/Children, your spouse high income, financially backed by accountant's who falsely file taxes, a boss who will change his wage by almost $60k a day before mediation just to get out of paying more child/Spousal Support, Never be able to review the "full transparency" financial statements of your spouse. Never speak or see Zeina prior to mediation. Have no expectations for your outcome, and need zero communication or support This place is for you! She took almost $6,000 from me. They gave my spouse the time to move pension, I provided proof! There is no support or communication after you pay. You get appointed a junior paralegal to input your info, you end up having to review and fix mistakes. Only to be told your emails are excessive, but they are legal documented you have to sign. We walked out of mediation had an agreement, didn't have us sign anything that we agreed on. Which allowed my spouse again time to change his mind, discuss my private financial affairs with many people, go back on the agreement. Get told we owe $630 and our file was paused until it's paid. we were never asked or told it would cost to stay later so they could wrap it up and get us out the door. When I questioned why I wasn't aware my spouses taxes were falsely filed. Claiming income splitting, that he had full custody, it has STOPPED all my CHILD benefits. I was emailed and "TOLD NOBODY AT TRUSTED DIVORCE WILL SPEAK TO ME OR DEAL WITH US. NOT TO CALL OR EMAIL"How she can sleep at night knowing my spouse opened bank accounts, hid money, fully aware I rely on him financially, me and our child still reside in the family home, she stole money from a single mother, allowed my spouse for me to take on $56k in debt without a job. My spouse sees our child 4 days a month, no child support, spousal support or anything signed for my house that he agreed to sign over. Now claiming he's going to claim bankruptcy so I lose it. She knows I had to borrow $4,000 in a week since her and Debra( junior paralegal) allowed my spouse to blow up our mediation. Much like my spouse she doesn't care about children or your situation. It's about money! I walked away 10x worse than when I started, my savings drained. Now have to take her to court to get my money back for unfair business practices! Retain a lawyer and pay triple to do what she said she takes pride in. This woman has pride in taking your money and sending you away, With nothing signed or filed 8 months later. Don't use her use a lawyer or a credited mediation place, I'm going to end up paying triple had I done that from the start.I paid for a separation agreement to protect my child, child/spousal support, division of property and court filing. Now In one week, I'm in debt nothing signed, my spouse and I not even on speaking terms, we were before this woman pretended to claim she wanted to help. She claims she takes pride in helping people outside of court and lawyers she has pride in taking your money and sending you away! No further ahead but much worse off! Stay away! She is not BBB accredited, I spoke to 7 calgary and area lawyers that told me she was a self promoted mediator and clearly a scam artist! She is a sole proprietor so I'll have to sue her personally, and her business. She did not provide services I paid for, it's unfair business practice's as per Alberta Consumer Protection. Do not use this woman!!!! She won't respond or answer my calls!
