Dr. Nixon lured me to his office with a pledge to administer a court-ordered PPG test, ignoring several of my confirmation phone calls to him, only to tell me when we finally met that he would not administer that test by itself -- that I must agree to take an ABEL test as well. I balked and challenged him on it and ultimately refused to pay him for having wasted my time, after we had made an agreement about what was to be done.
At that he flipped out and told me that in 25 years of practice that no one had ever stood up to him like that. Then-- I believe but cannot prove-- in his outrage he later contacted the counselor I told him I was scheduled to take his PPG results to (had I used him) and meddled in the outcome of my final recommendation, which he had no right to do, because I had already dismissed him.
In addition, during our conversation he pontificated that anyone even so much as accused of sexual impropriety needs serious counseling.
Finally, like all these PPG evaluators, he insisted on knowing what I was accused of before testing me-- so he could no doubt "prove" the veracity of those charges. It's what these people do! If the tests were valid they would not need to know what they are trying to prove before they set out to prove it. So beware the charlatan agenda...
Now, as in the case of others I have previously reviewed, I am returning to this page years later to report on the corruption that has been exposed. It seems that Dr. Nixon has had his license to practice revoked by the California Board of Psychology.
Trust your instincts, people: no fewer than 4 people I suspected of misconduct have been exposed since I started writing scathing critiques. (I do not assume it's because of me, though). read more
