Overpriced work, ruined a set of my work shirts…read more I think laziness in combination with a significant language barrier makes this a place to avoid. I needed a set of work shirts taken in at the waist and the sleeves taken in. They marked out all the work in advance but then left the sleeves as they were and shortened the length of the entire shirt. So I'm now left with a bunch of work shirts that are too short to even tuck into my pants and the sleeves are still too long. When I discussed the problem with the tailor he seemed unable to understand why this was a problem. I found multiple pins still in the sleeves when the altered shirts were returned. He had marked out the sleeve alterations, but didn't bother doing the work. I am now out the price of the alterations $45 a shirt for 5 shirts and I have to buy all new shirts $50 a shirt. Close to $500. Thankfully I kept a couple shirts to use until the new ones come in. Avoid. These are not serious people.

First, I'll say I really like Mike. He's very involved in the business and he was always there to…read morechat me up whenever I'd stop in so that's a huge plus. On the downside was the actual laundry/pressing service they provide. I'm a new customer and on my second batch of dress shirts I dropped off I found two of them damaged when I picked the order up. One had actual burn holes through the fabric (iron was too hot and/or left on too long) and another shirt had brown scorch marks on the sleeve and back. For the first one he asked me what the shirt was worth and put a credit on my customer account for it; with the second shirt he said he thought it was detergent so he sent it through again and, in fairness, it came back fine. A month and a half later I dropped off an order with a different set of shirts. This time (again, white shirt) I got back with blue stains all over the cuffs and a few other areas. Mike said he thought it was maybe dye transfer from laundering it with colored garments so he ran it through again. I got it back and it looked like it had come out but as soon as I got it home under good, bright lighting the blue was still there. At this point I've now had issues with three shirts on two separate orders so I decided it's time to call it a day with this place and I took it to Dean's cleaners in Westport. Not only did they turn it around same day but they got all the blue stains out. Look, I'm sure these guys try to do a great job and they obviously care about their business so I'll give them 2-stars instead of one but the quality speaks for itself and for that reason I'd avoid using them.
