The drivers are incapable of following the rules of the road. I've had multiple occasions when I've nearly had one of their cars go into the side of mine as they decide to cut people up in traffic, failing to indicate, give way, follow the speed limit and being very aggressive if you dare to beep at them. Dangerous drivers. Do not use them. Sooner or later they will likely kill someone!!! Every morning we cycle with our child to school, and at least once a week, every week, a Steve's Taxi car will almost hit us! Either dangerous overtaking, dangerous undertaking, pulling out without looking, or pulling over without looking. The drivers are rude, inconsiderate and dangerous. ln such a small town you would expect taxi firms help each other. When an 82 year old local man who's been in town for decades who's just taken taxi to home from the train station returning from an eye operation left his bags with urgent medication in the car tried to find the number for the train station taxi was unlucky to get a tattooed well pierced unhelpful woman operator who didn't care and couldn't even be bothered to help. Eventually we had to drive across to the train station to get the bags, but Steve's taxis clearly don't care about their customers. Having had an eye operation and leaving his medication in the car all he needed was just a little bit of help from the taxi firm. The taxi actually just drove off before he had a chance to get the bags out, he didn't leave bags forgetting about them. If this is the last resource and you can't get any other taxis consider walking! read more

Steves Taxi's offer a reliable and friendly taxi service. I find the prices really reasonable especially after 12. The drivers are friendly and courteous which is a real benefit to the company. The cars are always clean and tidy. read more

DON'T USE! Unreliable and rude. We booked a taxi for 12.15am for 5 people. When it hadn't arrived at 12.30am I called to enquire if it was on its way. A very abrupt lady told me that they didn't have enough 7 seaters (happy to take my booking earlier though) so it wasn't on its way. When I asked if they could have called me to let me know she said "we can't phone out from these phones" (no apology). read more
