Full Review: Our newly purchased house in Dallas GA needed exterior attention. In previous homes, we'd always done painting & minor repairs ourselves. We didn't employ others because our attention to detail & high standards had rarely been matched by contractors; and we enjoyed the effort & resulting satisfaction. But, this time it's a 3-story house, and we're getting older. You get the drift. We needed to hire others for the job; and Steve's Painting was referred to us by a trusted friend, a roofer of experience. Steve visited to assess the job & provided an estimate in writing. He's smart, seasoned, honest & candid, an on-point straight-talking, no-nonsense guy. His quote was fair and reasonable at a price-point that turned out to be an excellent VALUE for the HIGH QUALITY results we received. He came in on-time, on-budget with a two year guarantee. We accepted the bid at our convenience (no limited-time-offer nonsense) & Steve didn't require a deposit or even a signature. A handshake was all he needed to assure the agreement was accepted. Yes, it matters when people you have around for a few weeks seem to enjoy coming to your home to help you get it "just right". It was always a pleasure to chat with them. On their final departure, we felt as if good friends were heading out. Particularly, the team-lead, Raul (whom we interacted with the most) is one of the genuinely nicest men we've ever met. The work began by thoroughly pressure washing the entire LARGE house, LONG driveway, LARGE patio, front porch, rear deck, LONG fence... literally everything in sight. It all began to look much better already! To prepare surfaces, the crew meticulously repaired & patched, taped & masked-off every possible area in need of attention, repeatedly asking us to look around for anything they may have missed. We found only a very few issues & they seemed glad to effect those finishing touches. The painting & staining were done efficiently & expediently. Again, they asked us to review their work; and again, we found little to improve upon. To our surprise, when Steve himself reviewed the entire final project, HE found a few minor items to be corrected that we (the "meticulous", high-standard folks) had missed! They all did an outstanding job on our home - the siding, trim & fascia, gutters & drain pipes, wood deck & fences. Steve also fully handled the sub-contracting needed to install the new larger gutters & drain pipes we had chosen. That crew exhibited the same courtesy, professionalism & attention to detail as Steve's own group. They even recommended subtle installation details like gutters set to wrap-around a corner, rather than simply stopping at the edge. The result was a home that presented far more attractively from the street view. Instead of simply providing functional water management, these gutters & drains actually compliment the entire house, like the finishing touch of a frame around a picture. Well done, indeed. What a pleasure to meet Steve and his crews. They did a lot of work in our home. Steve's carpenter Ruben installed bead board and chair rail in our foyer, stairwell and upstairs hallway. AWESOME! And for a lot less than other quotes. Then they installed a new front door and sidelights --custom installation, as the door frame was not a standard size. Then they removed the old wallpaper in one of our bedrooms and patched all of the nail holes in all of the walls. Then the fun began Steve and Misha painted two bedrooms, halls, 16' stair well, foyer LR, DR, Family room, Sunroom, and three ceilings. Fast, neat, clean, and careful. We could not have asked for more or better work and again at excellent prices.
