I have learned, there are people who rush you and don take the time to talk to you and people who just don't show up. Of the 4 estimates I got, Victor was the best at communication. His quote was comparable but I chose him because he told me exactly what I would be getting. He finished the job in a very timely manner and came back promptly to do touch ups. Rafael and his team have good work ethic. They did an excellent job in fixing all the siding, trim, and wood issue of our house's exterior, that were found in the preparation stage of the painting process. They performed their job professionally and carefully from sealing all the siding gap, priming, taping to painting and cleaning after the project. They're hard working and kind people. Beside the excellent work they did, I appreciate their punctuality and responsiveness in communication and showing up on time, from the very beginning of the free inspection until the project is finished. If you often must look up and contact different contractors/companies to fix things around your house, you know how valuable being on time and good communication is. Rafael is friendly and easily to reach in both text and call, which is very helpful to me since my family communicates better in text than phone call. The team did a good job, and Rafael comes onsite to check on the project often, as well to communicate and promptly answer all of my questions. All the project's detailed is listed and informed well in the email invoice. He also explains the process and keep us well updated throughout the project. More importantly, their price range is competitive and affordable for the high quality they deliver. We even receive a free driveway pressure wash due to the promotion of the exterior project. I hired William Bullock of Uncle Buck's Painting & Restorations to do a paint job for me as a…read moresubcontractor. He asked me for a 50% down payment, which I paid him via Zelle. Unfortunately, this was a bad decision as he basically ran off with my money, and did not do the job. What happened was that my customer had a deadline for the job to be done, and William didn't order the paint in time, so the customer canceled the job. He said he was waiting for my down payment before ordering the paint, so I don't fully blame him for the paint not arriving in time. The main reason I'm dissatisfied is that he did not refund my down payment after the job was canceled. We're talking about over $2,000 here! He basically returned the paint he ordered and kept the money. I tried asking him nicely on multiple occasions to give me the down payment back, and he refused at first. After asking him multiple times, he agreed to give me the money back in installments. This was not ideal for me, but I agreed to accept the payment in installments because he said money was tight for him. The only problem is that it has been months now, and he has only given me one installment of $400 back. I keep asking him to make another payment per our agreed upon schedule, but at this point he is so late on his payments that I have basically given up hope of ever getting my money back. I also tried contacting Zelle to get me my money back, but they said that they can't help me as Zelle is more or less like cash. At the end of the day, what he did was basically theft and totally unacceptable. I highly recommend thinking twice before giving him a down payment. If you do decide to, at least don't do it via Zelle.
