They are a phenomenal dealership with great professionalism, values and friendly service. I was very lucky to be matched up with Samuel Haley as our car salesman. He gave me much excellent advice and explained the 2018 Jeep Renegade thoroughly. I bought the same day! The rest of the team at the dealership are also quite helpful and cheery. Caleb Leuthold was very knowledgeable when explaining the financing, registration and even some driver's license questions I had. I initially was in contact with Thomas Grove, who introduced me to Sam. Thomas is a very gregarious personality and was the reason we decided to drive out to Hometown Motors, he recommended some local sites to see while we were in Weiser. Be sure to stop at the local chocolate shop when you are there for some excellence in-house made treats. See my review for them as well. Sam Haley had just joined the dealership and I was the first car that he sold with them. He is a wonderful person to work with. I would highly recommend seeking him out when you need a new or used vehicle and the scenic drive out to Weiser is not long at all. The outstanding customer service with Hometown Motors began with Mark Donicht fielding my call and spending over a week working with me over the phone trying to find the absolute best match. We found a new 2500 Laramie that was everything I wanted. I left my house at 1am and drove to Weiser Idaho to where I met Mark in person. He then gave me a ride back the dealership. I've been around a few years now and have dealt with all types of car dealerships and none have come close to the enjoyable and professional experience gained at Hometown. Sales staff was your best friend until after the sale. We had issues with the truck once we returned home, was promised multiple times the issues would be taken care of and that the issues were covered by the Ford warranty. We called the Sales Manager many times and many times our calls were not returned as promised. This was mentally challenging and should never have happened thru a "Ford" dealership! We would not recommend first of all driving 400 miles for a "perfect" vehicle nor would we recommend this dealership.

We also weren't familiar with Idaho's governing on the matter). We managed to call a few places before they closed but most wouldn't see us that same day. We were recommended here. Matt and his team were unbelievably fantastic. They stayed late that day (on a Friday) to diagnose our issue. They would have tried to fix it that night but didn't have the necessary parts & needed to wait for Subaru to open up the next day. They were also extremely communicative, making sure we knew what the problem was and what they were doing to fix it. It was very clear they were the best Subaru expert mechanics in town. When all was done, it was also much more affordable than we expected. We still got to Denver on Saturday with no car problems!! All thanks to Boise Auto Arena. 2010 Kia Sedona with 62k miles…read more Very casual zero pressure sales experience, which was great. When I went in I asked about the van, they copied my license and handed me the keys. I thought it was going to be - sales guy in the passenger seat grilling me about payments and what other expensive cars I might be interested in. Nope, just keys and 30 minutes to spend test driving. We got half a tank of gas, 3 kids in carseats, we're wearing sunglasses. We hit it! :P Chris knocked $200 off the price which I think was fair. The asking price was right in the middle of the KBB value range for that year and mileage. We've had the van for a little over a week and love it. Drives great, everything works. No leaks, no issues to speak of. Side note, surprised to see an ad for the Dave Ramsey Visa credit card in the bathroom as well, and finding out they held a FPU. Kind of an oxymoron at a dealership that offers financing. But to their credit I was never actually asked about financing or pressured to use theirs. The whole family recommends Boise Auto Clearance. The vehicle was in great shape practically the way it was described on their website. they were very polite, friendly and HONEST. While I was looking over the vehicle before I got under the hood, Ray came out and told me it does have a valve cover gasket leak they just hadn't gotten around to fixing it yet. He told me a couple of small things they did replace and they worked on me with the price since it had that leak. I was glad I trusted the reviews and even living in TX I might buy from them again. Salesmen at multiple lots tried to sell me new cars, junk cars (windows broken out), coupes, sedans without A/C, etc. Art at American Auto Sales was the only one who listened. I looked at a couple cars on his lot, none felt *right*. Then, he told me he had the perfect car for me but it wasn't at the lot. We drove down to look at it. Lo and behold, it was perfect! A used sedan with A/C and super low miles. It was getting an alignment, so I got financed (ICCU per Art's suggestion) and went to pick up the car the next day. Art went above and beyond. He put new tires (with warranty) on it, had an alignment, and an oil change done. I was estatic! Fast forward 3 weeks, the car had an antifreeze leak. I went back for the last payment on my down payment and asked if he could find out where the leak was coming from so my husband could fix it. Not only did he find the leak, he had fixed it for free! Art provided the best service I could've hoped for at a car dealership. I am SO impressed. I will definitely go back there if I ever need another used car and I will tell everyone I know to go there first to buy a car.
