Boise is getting quite expensive to purchase a car so I ended up driving out to Weiser, Idaho and found the best deal! They are a phenomenal dealership with great professionalism, values and friendly service. I was very lucky to be matched up with Samuel Haley as our car salesman. He gave me much excellent advice and explained the 2018 Jeep Renegade thoroughly. I bought the same day! The rest of the team at the dealership are also quite helpful and cheery. Caleb Leuthold was very knowledgeable when explaining the financing, registration and even some driver's license questions I had. I initially was in contact with Thomas Grove, who introduced me to Sam. Thomas is a very gregarious personality and was the reason we decided to drive out to Hometown Motors, he recommended some local sites to see while we were in Weiser. Be sure to stop at the local chocolate shop when you are there for some excellence in-house made treats. See my review for them as well. Sam Haley had just joined the dealership and I was the first car that he sold with them. He is a wonderful person to work with. I would highly recommend seeking him out when you need a new or used vehicle and the scenic drive out to Weiser is not long at all. Sam is a great guy and I'm sure to keep in touch with him for all my future car needs.

After visiting and working with numerous dealers in the area I heard Idaho has some of the best deals on RAM trucks in the market. The outstanding customer service with Hometown Motors began with Mark Donicht fielding my call and spending over a week working with me over the phone trying to find the absolute best match. We found a new 2500 Laramie that was everything I wanted. I left my house at 1am and drove to Weiser Idaho to where I met Mark in person. He then gave me a ride back the dealership. I've been around a few years now and have dealt with all types of car dealerships and none have come close to the enjoyable and professional experience gained at Hometown. I've left with such a good feeling and confidence that the dealership team was sincere and truly wanted to make the deal right. I would have to directly thank and recommend the General Manager Brandon Johnson for his amazing customer service to really make the entire experience one of a kind and better than the rest. Preparing myself for the finance department I was then surprised again to how professional and great the finance agent named Thomas treated me. Every number was correct and everything presented was in an open and honest way, which really took the stress away and made the experience that much better. I would recommend this place to all my friends and family as I have never felt so good about buying a car, plus the satisfaction knowing it was a great deal for a great truck! Thank you.

BUYER BEWARE! This…read moredealer had a truck which was everything we wanted in a truck and that's the reason we drove 400 miles to take a look. Initial contact was decent, greeting was friendly, overall buying experience was acceptable, and it was a fair deal which included our trade-in vehicle. Sales staff was your best friend until after the sale. We had issues with the truck once we returned home, was promised multiple times the issues would be taken care of and that the issues were covered by the Ford warranty. We called the Sales Manager many times and many times our calls were not returned as promised. This was mentally challenging and should never have happened thru a "Ford" dealership! We would not recommend first of all driving 400 miles for a "perfect" vehicle nor would we recommend this dealership.

This oil change was done 1200 miles early at that. I asked if I could just get the oil and filter and I would do the last one myself. They refused, and said that they did me a favor by doing the one already. I'm sorry but these oil changes were pre paid for up front! They were never a gift from you ever. I paid for them!! Bo tells me they don't have anything to do with the contracts. Funny thing is the dealership gets paid for them, but they have nothing to do with them? I will never do business with Auto Ranch again. I knew there was a reason why I went to Smith Auto in Weiser, to have all my warranty work done. They understand customer service. Spend $65,000 with Auto Ranch and this is the best they can do. We'll see if screwing someone out of $120 or so is worth it. This certainly isn't my last vehicle, but it damn sure is from you!!

We've bought multiple vehicles and get all of our service done here because they're genuinely different. I've always felt equal, actually listened to, and never pressured into things I didn't understand or didn't need. Scott in the service department is hands down my favorite. He's knowledgeable without being pushy, friendly without being fake, and always takes the time to explain things in a way that actually makes sense. Bonus points for having coloring pages for my kids to keep them occupied -- that alone tells you he gets real life. If you're tired of the typical dealership experience and just want to be treated like a human, this is the place. And Scott is the reason we keep coming back. We've always taken our truck to Ontario Hometown Motors Toyota for oil changes, A/C repairs, and…read moreother services. Unfortunately, we've had a disappointing experience that raises concerns about their service practices. After they replaced our A/C a few years ago, (we suspect this month) the cabin air filter was removed and never replaced. On August 14, 2025, during a routine oil change, we were informed by an employee that the cabin filter was missing. He claimed we had previously been made aware of this, which was not the case. When we told him we believed it had been removed during a past service, he researched and said he would speak with the service manager to see what could be done. It turns out our truck was without a cabin air filter for approximately 3 years. Thankfully, I had started working from home and wasn't driving the truck much. The service manager later accused us of having the filter removed elsewhere or removing it ourselves. He eventually offered to waive the labor cost for installing a new one but insisted we pay for the filter itself. The employee that was helping us seemed to agree that the filter was likely removed during the 2nd A/C repair when we took it back stating there was not enough air pressure in the cab. After that service, we noticed a stronger air pressure in the cab. We were never told a cabin filter had been taken out to achieve that. A new cabin filter was put in and the air pressure is weak again, therefore, we are pretty sure that is the reason it was removed to begin with. We now have the same issue we were having before after it was replaced. After getting home we researched what damage not having a cabin filter would cause. We found it could have cause damage to my truck if driven long periods. Also, realize that driving without a cabin air filter can pose health risks. We reached out to the manager at the Fruitland location. During our conversation he said he would contact the Ontario service manager and talk to him. He would have him call us. (We have yet to be called). We mentioned we were advised we needed to replace the struts, need a transmission flush, and something else, but since we were being accused of going elsewhere, even though we said we haven't been we would be going elsewhere. We will not be giving them our money. His response was dismissive--he referred to the issue as minimal and questioned why he should help us if we didn't plan to return. The answer is simple: good customer service means taking responsibility when your company makes a mistake, regardless of whether a customer returns. We're sharing this experience as a caution to others. A small oversight can turn into a serious concern when it's not acknowledged or handled properly.
