DO. NOT. EVEN. SET. FOOT! Decided to give Dahl a second chance after the lousy treatment I got from their hwy 10 location back in 2021 and tried this place. Sales guy was great about being careful to only look at cars in my price range and we found something I liked but had to wait a few days until my husband could see it. In the day between, the car was taken off the website so we assumed it was sold. Sales guy called the next morning to say he'd found an amazing car in our price range. We took it for a drive, loved it, but when he went back to get the paperwork, he returned without it and told us they had changed the price from $23k to $37k! Then he said the original car we had liked was actually still available even though it had been taken off the website. My husband didn't like it but their closer/finance manager came out, sat down, and tried to get us to buy it anyway. We had a trade and he REFUSED to tell us what they would give us, saying "it depends on what car we choose to buy". After my husband, mother-in-law, and I each asked twice, he finally told me "I just looked it up on KBB and the trade-in was barely worth $400. HUNDRED! I knew perfectly well what my car was worth since I'd researched KBB, CarFax, and Experian car values and all those were WELL into the thousands! He continued to tell me it wasn't worth anything and no other dealer would give me a price as good as this and they would give us a great deal on the car we didn't want. In the end we had to literally get up and walk out. No reputable dealer lists a car for one price and then raises the price by over $10k "AFTER THE SAFETY INSPECTION", and they also don't try to scam you out of thousands of dollars in trade-in value! And this isn't even touching on the treatment I got years ago at one of their other locations! Save yourself time, energy, and thousands of dollars and shop ANYWHERE ELSE! read more

My wife bought a 2017 Honda CR-V in 2020 with 42k miles on it. It is now June of 2022. the car has less than 70k miles on it. The check engine light came on (code p219d). brought it to a local Honda dealer and they diagnosed it as injectors and tubes. estimated 1300$ Not covered by Honda care powertrain warranty. I called the original dealer (stevens point honda) and they would do nothing about it. I was told "why is it my problem?" by a senior salesman. I thought they'd do something as the vehicle is not old and we've had it for two years. stevens point Honda does not back their used vehicles unless you purchase the extended warranty from them. I would not recommend buying anything from a company that does not back their product. read more

Drove down to the Stevens Point area from Wausau, my wife and I were looking for a van for my work (I am a delivery person for Staples and Office Depot). Initially we were going to check a lbunch of dealers in the Stevens Point area starting with Scaffidi. But we pulled into the Honda lot because I own a 2007 Honda Fit and I wanted to see what the new models were going for as I was curious. As I pulled into the lot, I saw a sales person walking past, so I got his attention and asked if they had any used vans for sale. He stated that they had a Ford E150 that they just put on the lot the day before. The sale was seamless and quick and the salesperson, Butch, was amazing throughout the whole process from start to finish. He even delivered the van to my house in Wausau after the sale. The codes that came up are time stamped prior to me buying the vehicle. 7 days I've had this car and they will not fix the issues. Salesman was good but noone wants to stand by their sale. Stevens point Honda was excellent when we came in to purchase a new CRV for my elderly parents. But who would t be when it's all about the sale. Well, we were having problems with the car being dead when my mom would drive 25 miles to the store. It happened 4 times and so we brought it in for service. The service manager, Tim Kaminski went above and beyond when I was upset that a service handler said something was wrong with the car but then told us 2 days later it was operator handler. Tim was nothing but concerned about my parents well being and he did everything he could to try and fix what he thought was a malfunctioning starter. He took his time, took extra steps, and hopefully solved the problem. He is first class in customer service and I would highly recommend talking to Tim and having your Honda issues resolved at Steve's point Honda. read more

Every time I go in for some sort of repair, something crazy goes wrong and when I call about it to express a concern, is a litany of excuses for what happened. Once I asked them to check my spare tire to make sure that it would come off (because of the salt use in my state in the winter) and the tire came loose and rolled down the highway when I left the dealership! When I went to grab the tire and put it in the back of the vehicle, all the items that came with the spare like the jack, the wrench,etc. were all spread around the back of my car so I know they didn't finish the job-somebody got interrupted mid-job. The excuse that time was that the chain broke under the car and my spare went flying down the highway because of that. Another time I had my vehicle checked in January and at that time asked them to check the air conditioning unit for summer. He said that the fee would be about $130 and I told him I would wait until spring to have it fixed. When spring came I asked him about the repair and without looking on the computer he told me that the part was $1000, because he never even looked up what was wrong with the air conditioning. He was happy for me to just pay the higher fee for a new whatever part! In addition to that when they fixed it he found somebody's cell phone in my engine. It had obviously been left there when they did the previous repair in January, and no one noticed it had been left there. Who loses their phone in a customer's ENGINE! I also took my new/used Element there when I purchased it and asked them to check it over and at that time they told me I needed an axle or an axel part. (I t was making a lot of noise when I turned). I had that replaced but the sound of something broken was worse. I took it to another mechanic and the sway bars were loose or disconnected at three points of contact, so the only place the sway bar was attached was where they had put the new axle parts. This past week I took it in for an oil change and asked them to make sure it was sound for a cross country trip (about 15 hours each way). The service technician told me everything was in good shape and he rotated the tires. I hadn't asked for that, but whatever. He said the tread was much better on the front tires than the back and to consider new tires for the fall. Well, this morning when I got on the highway, I noticed a significant shake in the steering wheel. I called the dealership, expecting an excuse, and guess what? My car may now need alignment. No kidding, why wasn't this mentioned? Yes, he mentioned the tread, but that doesn't automatically register with the average non-car tech. The tech said he didn't know if that would happen or not, but he knows that I cannot afford every repair they mention. This is very true, and I have asked (in the past) what repair is a suggestion and what's pressing- 'cause the dealership is so darned expensive! So now I have to worry he's not going to bring something up because of my income? It's just another EXCUSE! So this getting exhausting and there's no accountability on their part. Save yourself the high blood pressure, like when someone almost got killed because THEY didn't secure my spare tire. Find someone honest and ACCOUNTABLE! read more

Our car, a Honda Fit, started to make a horrendous noise when we drove. It started out of the blue at 2:30 on a Saturday afternoon. We couldn't find any mechanics open at that time, but at the last minute called Stevens Point Honda. Their service area was open, and they checked the car while we waited. It turned out to be a little tiny stone that somehow was lodged in the motor. The service department was so kind, and didn't even charge us. While we were sitting there, I noticed the service staff treated every customer with the same courtesy and kindness. Took my early 2000's honda in for the warranty replacement, after being notified of an airbag recall. The fix was totally free, and they found another airbag issue that they were eager to repair as well. They found the source, ordered parts, and all I had to do was schedule another appointment. Their waiting room is very clean and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly, really willing to go the extra mile to stand behind their products. As a bonus, they have about 10 kinds of tea so I enjoyed a warm beverage. My car was done in half the time they'd predicted despite it being a busy morning at the dealership. Definitely would recommend over any other honda dealerships in the area. read more

I had a truck listed for sale on Craigslist, I was contacted by a member of the sales team at Stevens Point Honda. He said they wanted to purchase the truck from me. I made it clear to him that I was firm on my asking price of $18500, I made it CRYSTAL clear that I would not accept a low trade in offer on it. (KBB poor trade in value was about $14500) he said they would be willing to pay market value on the truck. Mind you this truck is in better then average condition. I set up an appointment to meet with them. I left work a couple hours early and made the 45 minute drive to the dealership. They looked over the truck and agreed that it was in awesome shape for the year. The sale manager came out and met with me. I was shocked.....They didn't lie when they said they wouldn't offer trade in value! they offered me $5000. not even half of what trade in value is! I was lied to by the staff and quite honestly insulted. If your looking to be lied to and waste a bunch of your time Stevens point Honda is the dealership for you! read more
