The office staff consists of Ms. Teresa-- the office manager, Ms. Roxanne--Dr. Hamptons wife/HR Mgr at the front desk. Congenial, professional whereby every procedure was explained.. and they were wholely customer service oriented. I felt like family. My dental hygienists name was Chelsea. What an awesome young woman. X-ray technique was flawless. I've been to lots of dental hygienist in the past but she was head and shoulders above the crowd. If it was the Olympics she would be a perfect 10 in my opinion. She gave me a thorough PTCE (Patient Treatment Clinical Exam) which included detection and removal of calculus, accurate periodontal pocket depth measurements. I was highly impressed. Then I met Dr. Hampton. Let's just say he's Impressively Awesome as well. He made me feel comfortable, encouraged me to ask ANY question and made sure to include me in my dental treatment plan. From the moment I walked in the staff was very friendly and efficient. Cole called me back and would be working alongside Dr. Valez during my appointment. He is a future Endonontist. He was extremely polite and answered any questions I had. There were a few questions he did not have the answers to. However, he wasted no time finding them for me from his colleagues. Dr. Valez quickly addressed my dental issues. He was extremely thorough in his explanation for the cause of my pain and the plan for treatment. He was very genuine in his concern for the level of pain I was experiencing and completed my root canal during my first visit. During my procedure Dr. Valez coached Cole on different aspects of the procedure and techniques to achieve optimum patient care. He was extremely thorough and patient in his explanations. I needs to have a root canal, and couldn't get any to give me an appointment until July....crazy! So o reached out to Dr. Shepherd's office and they could get me in within the week. The staff was very friendly over the phone and in person. Dr. Shepherd was very pleasant as well, answered all my questions, and made sure that I wasn't in any pain. With calming confidence they quickly enrolled two others in urgent care procedures to insert a life -saving I.V bag and oxygen. Dr. Hillin was especially effective in coaching me through my oxygen first-aid, gently calming me, as I was beginning to hyperventilate in my anxiety. If I could give this place a -0 star I would me and my mom has been patients at this place since…read more2015 honestly don't know how we stayed so long because the atmosphere is very cold and not welcoming it became worse recently. My mom has been having the same ongoing issue with the same crown coming off her crown popped off on July 6, 2023 she wasn't eating anything she was simply TALKING the rude desk staff called on July 10, 2023 for her to come in at 4pm I was hesitant on taking her back to this place because this is unacceptable he forced putting the same crown that clearly doesn't fit as a temporary the same day her face was swollen He didn't numb her when drilling her tooth. He also nicked her tongue with the drill it is now Sunday morning July 16, 2023 and her tongue is still in pain. We are never returning back and I honestly hope he doesn't see another patient again that explains all of the cancellations and open appointments he has. Oh and at my last cleaning he didn't even have the decency to come look at my teeth afterwards. Please please please go elsewhere to a dentist that cares about their patients. UPDATE: 7/20/2023 my mother received a rude voicemail from the unprofessional desk staff stating that it is normal for the dentist to not numb patients before drilling which is insane she is still in pain to this day she was not caring at all about the situation and stated that she will remove us from the schedule which is fine because I never enjoyed having someone in my mouth that is not groomed and looks like he just rolled out of bed. My suggestion would be that you put the time and effort that you spend getting new fancy equipment and at least look presentable at work.
