Reynolds takes great care of me, he has Saturday walk in hours so that I can always find time to see him if I need.

I chose Dr Loomis as my PCP after getting on Medicare coverage. I had no health issues when I first…read moresaw her. After getting my lab results, she incorrectly diagnosed me as "Diabetic" even though it is common practice to have more that 3 high A1C readings before pronouncing that diagnosis. Frankly, she shocked me when she told me I was diabetic. She sent me to see her useless dietician, presumably so she could bill Medicare for these service. I did not authorize the dietician visits, not was I aware that she had to note me as "diabetic" in order for the services to be covered. I had to ask her to delete the diagnosis which I am not sure she ever did. This is not the first time she shocked or scared me. Later, she told me I needed to come in for fluids because my Sodium levels were low. When I rushed down, after cancelling other commitments, she said I did not need fluids after all, to just drink more water. The last straw was when she ordered labs tests that I found out from Quest, were "not medically necessary", and I ended up with a close to $500 bill. I worked with her office staff for 5 months (yes, 5 months!) to get this bill reduced. I never got an answer as to why she ordered 3 tests that were not deemed a medical necessity. One is supposed to sign a waiver when presented with a test or procedure that Medicare may not cover. I was never asked to sign the Medicare waiver. This sounds like malpractice to me. When I called the front office staff they would bounce me from one person to the next, wanting me to give the whole story over and over again. They would put me on hold for 10 or 20 minutes, no problem. The person I was working with, Brianna, was always "busy on another line", or "just stepped out". When I finally did speak with Brianna, she would say that she hadn't gotten around to my issue and to give her another month. She told me that the lab could not send me to collections for a long time. I finally just paid the lab bill to get this resolved and off of my desk. I would not recommend Dr Loomis or her staff or office to anyone looking to have a meaningful relationship with their primary care doctor. If this is how they treat me when I am basically healthy, what kind of care will they give when really needed. Save your time and find a competent, caring doctor.

I have been seeing this doctor for a couple years and he gave me a medication for my migraines and…read morethen I went to go get it refilled. They said I couldn't get it refilled again cause I had to come and make an office visit which is no problem. Problem is his appointments are three months out and I need to take his injectable once a month which is the first of the month so I pleaded with the receptionist and through the receptionist to the MA to please give me a prescription refill of this injectable for my migraines until I can come and see him which was three months out. They said no they refused to. They couldn't do it. I pleaded with him I cried. I told him I end up in an emergency with horrible migraines if I don't get this medication And they still said no, so I'm very displeased with this office I never got any notification whatsoever telling me that this prescription was expiring and that I need to have an office visit before it was refilled again. In the meantime, I found another doctor that refilled it immediately, so I would never recommend this office. The receptionist and the MA were very very insensitive to my extreme migraines and very rude. This injectable that I take for my migraines once a month is not a controlled substance. It is just an injectable for my migraines. So I don't even know why they gave me such a hassle about getting this refilled until I can come in and see them in March. I give the injection to myself it's not like I even have to go into the office for it so I'm completely outraged. By the way this office runs their procedures and again I would never ever recommend this office to Anybody ?

However the ratings on this office were very misleading so I felt compelled to get real. PROS: I will say that this office got me into an appointment relatively quickly. The staff was friendly and I didn't have to sit in the waiting room for very long at all. CONS: There were a few things that really troubled me at this office. You're greeted with a sign on the wall that says they charge $10 (cash only) if you need blood drawn. That seemed weird to me, partially since they take credit cards for everything else. But I know that if you have blood drawn at a lab they charge a copay, so I shrugged it off. I also had to sign a bunch of paperwork informing me that "due to rising costs," his office would charge as much as $100 to have the doctor sign paperwork for things ranging from handicap placards to doctor notes pertaining to legal proceedings. I have never heard of charging $$ for a doctor's note, and thought the prices were extremely high for something most doctors do for free. I had gone into my appointment with debilitating chest pain which I'd had for 2 weeks, and I had been to an Urgent Care facility and to the ER for it. There, they did EKGs and X-rays but were unable to determine what was wrong without further testing. Some background: I had a tumor in 2009, which was partially removed but there is still some (benign) tissue in my mediastinal (chest) cavity. My surgeon recommended that I have CT scans regularly to monitor the leftover tissue. I brought my medical record to my appointment, as well as the paperwork from my recent Urgent Care and ER visits. Dr. Nash had zero interest in looking through my paperwork. I told him about my tumor, but he immediately brushed it off and said that he was sure that I just tweaked something at the gym. Then he asked me whether I was up-to-date on my gynecologist exams. Wait, what? It was my first appointment with him, but that hardly seemed relevant to my chest pain that I was so obviously concerned about. He kept reiterating that he needed to know that I had been going to the OBGyn regularly, and that I needed to have my medical records transferred over to prove this. I understand needing those records, but it was especially strange since I had all of my records in-hand, and he wouldn't look at them. I had hoped to have him refer me for a CT Scan so that I could (A) Keep my scans up to date and (B) See if the pain was related to my tumor. I mentioned this to Dr. Nash and he said that he wasn't sure my insurance would approve a CT Scan, despite the fact that I have a pre-existing condition, a doctor recommendation, am having chest pain, and have been getting scans for the past 5 years. His instructions were to have his office request my records so that he could determine if we would be able to move forward with my scan. Honestly- if my insurance won't cover me to get scans to check up on a tumor in my chest- I would be horrified. Not to mention that I have been doing this for years and never had a problem getting approval. Dr. Nash recommended that I just keep taking 1200 mg of Ibuprofen every day until the pain went away. After my appointment, I filled out a medical records request form and submitted it to his receptionist. She thanked me and sent me on my way, and I got out to the parking lot before I returned and asked "Uh... don't you need my copay??" So I paid and left. Three weeks later, I called to check on the status of my medical records request and was told that they would call me in ten minutes. Literally an hour after sitting by my phone, I called back again and was told that they could not find the paperwork that I handed his receptionist, and that I would need to resubmit the request. I have been taking Ibuprofen for 3 weeks and finally just changed my PCP because I'm not willing to keep taking medicine to mask symptoms that could be a HUGE deal, rather than my having my doctor investigate the root cause.

Extremely disappointed! I had high hopes when I decided to…read morehave Dr. Karen Allsup as my general doctor. It was recommended by my insurance sales rep because she even goes to her. She raved about her. First time I saw her was in June to confirm I was pregnant and I was. Yay! She told me that I would mostly not see her for a while because of the pregnancy and my interactions would be with my OB. But she did say if it wasn't baby related, I could go see her. So now let's jump to Dec. 4, Tuesday morning, I called my OB and she advised me this is something my general doctor should handle. Then that would be Dr. Karen Allsup. So I called her office to see if I could squeeze in an appointment around 8:20am. I was turned down. The reason why I wanted to see her was I had major abdominal pains and diarrhea every hour to 2 hrs starting since the previous night at 6:30pm. Since I was pregnant, I wanted her advice on what type of medication I could take to ease the pain and the diarrhea. Plus I wanted to know if this was a normal pregnancy thing, food poisoning or if I should go to the ER. Someone did call me back, it was one of her medical staff 2 hrs later. I was advised that it was too early to tell and I should go on a BRAT diet. I followed her advice. The next morning on Wednesday, I had not improved and decided to stop eating and drinking at 3pm the day before because the pain was too painful. So I called Dr. Allsup again to squeeze me in for an appointment. I was turned down b/c she was too full but I asked if the Dr. Allsup could give me any advice. I was scared and desperate. I even told the medical stuff that. Was I harming my baby? The pain didn't stop at all, I couldn't stop the diarrhea and waited all day for her call. I would assume a pregnant woman who hasn't stopped diarrhea for almost 2 days and complains of major abdominal pain would be a red flag for Dr. Karen Allsup, but it wasn't. I gave up at 7pm and went to the ER that night. So when did someone finally call me back from Dr. Karen Allsup's office, late Friday afternoon!!!!!! She was pushing me to make an appointment with the doctor and I was like NO WAY. I told the appointment setter why would I go see the doctor if she didn't care to call me back when I was desperate for an answer. I had to go to the ER! Then again, the staff kept pushing me to set an appointment. I was like leave me alone because why should I go to a doctor that doesn't care about me especially when I am pregnant.
