It's a lingering sensitivity in one of my molars after a previous filling. The first time I had it looked at another dentist office they brushed it off! Then I went to another dentist and they suggested an expensive, invasive procedure. I was starting to think I'd never get it resolved until I went to Sequoia Valley Dental Group. Dr. Kim took the time to actually listen to me. He didn't rush through the appointment or dismiss my concerns like I'd experienced before. He did a thorough examination, took some additional X-rays, and explained exactly what was happening with my tooth and why I was feeling the sensitivity. Rather than jumping straight to something drastic, Dr. Kim suggested a less invasive option to address the issue--and it worked! For the first time in months, I can eat on that side without discomfort. What I appreciated most was the transparency and the genuine care the entire team showed. Dental visits can sometimes feel transactional, but here, it felt like they truly cared about my long-term health, well-being, and really treated me like family. The entire staff was warm, attentive, and professional. The office is very clean and calm, and they took great care in making me feel safe and comfortable throughout my visit. I highly recommend Dr. Kim and his team. Sequoia Valley Dental Group definitely sets the bar high.

The Invisalign treatment plan and care has been great! Def recommend. My recent cleaning with Nicole was great! She's fast and personable.. Teeth felt great after (without the soreness from harsh scaling). You can definitely feel her experience as a hygienist. Office is clean and bright with modern equipment. (I hate outdated and dingy looking medical offices. The office is pretty booked far out (popular!) for routine checkups, but the appointments so far have all been on time and efficient which I appreciate.

Both receptionist's were rude like I have never seen! My son was in absolute pain with a failed root canal and and needed immediate attention! We called days before for an appointment, drove an hour and half from Bakersfield, got there 30 minutes early in case paperwork or anything else had to be updated! They said he was not assigned to their office threw western dental and to call the number to have it changed which we were trying to do! We told the we would pay out of pocket if necessary and I would deal with insurance while he was being treated. They refused to help! I don't know why Dr Sarabia gave up private practice to go with this company but was a terrible move! I will make sure to tell everyone in Porterville to change from this office! If your going to work in health care you should be empathetic and compassionate with all your patients! Absolutely appalling and an embarrassment for Dr Sarabia! The dentist told me that she needed caps put on, he also said that that was moderate decay. Since she is only 2, she has to be two and a half to put the cap on so we had to wait. It turns out they were just that only stains there was no decay and her teeth are back to white. I'm sure glad I didn't put the caps on her, thank God. I'm surprised he didn't know the difference between stains and decay.
