I confirmed and thought everything was good to go. Two days before my appointment I get a text saying that they need to talk to me about my insurance. I tried calling Thursday, but they did not answer the phone. I called again Friday morning. My appointment was in the afternoon on Friday. The receptionist informs me that I need a referral from Tricare. Are you kidding me? If they would have told me that six months ago when the appointment was made, I would have been asking my PCM to get it done. There is no way that I can get a referral in three days time let alone in a day. The receptionist informs me that the procedure will cost between $50-$100 out of pocket. Really?!!! What am I suppose to do? She says that there will be a $40 no show fee. I ask to speak to the office manager, but she is not there. I don't go to the appointment. The receptionist said that the office manager would call me on Monday. I never got a call. I received the $40 bill in the mail. I called Double Vision yesterday which has been a month since the missed appointment and left a message asking for the office manager to call me about this matter. I called again today and when I was asked what was the nature of my call I asked to speak to the office manager yet again about this bill. I was informed that she was out to lunch. They have no problems taking my money, but to talk to me and give me customer care all they want to do is put me off. I have no confidence that they will help to resolve such a simple issue. I would not recommend this business to anyone.

It is advisable to have an appointment before going in. You can just call or walk in and make an appointment. The old lady with whom I made my appointment was very polite and professional. At first they ask you to take a quick and very simple eye exam and then they ask you to wait until it's time for the eye doctor to see you in his office. The optometrist who examined my eyes was very professional. One can tell he has been doing this for a long time. The doctor complimented me on not wearing my contact lenses during sleep. I can't keep my eyes closed for a long time when I wear contacts, much less sleep with them, but judging by his comments there are indeed people who sleep with their contacts on. I must admit I was a little embarassed when I couldn't name the brand of contacts I had been using up to then, but the doctor didn't make a big deal about it. He then proceeded to name the different brands of contacts they sell, some of their applications and uses, and their affordability. It looks like this business is family and locally owned, but I could be wrong. The atmosphere inside this place is very peaceful and relaxing. They also advertise glasses starting at $69.00 (buy one pair, get one free) outside the building. When I purchased my contact lenses, they gave me a free trial pair. They didn't have my contact lenses in stock, but the young man who brought me the contact lenses for trial said it would take about 3 or 4 days for my order to be ready and the pair they gave me lasts for about a month, which is the kind of duration for contact lenses I am used to. They also gave me a free sixty milliliter disinfecting solution for my free contacts. This was my first time there and the experience was more than satisfactory. Their services and products are inexpensive compared to other places of this kind in Columbus. I highly recommend this business to everybody.

I was literally at about 80% recovery within a couple of days. It basically was day of surgery I hurt like the dickens, day 2 a little better, day 3 kind hurting but not much day 6 ready to go back to work ( I work in an office). I am spending time recuperating because that's what I am supposed to do but I feel amazing. The process has been long because I suffer from a host of gyno issues but I have to say Dr Eikelberry really walked me through the process and discussed every option available. He and his staff our truly professional, kind, and supportive people. :-)
