We offer comphrehensive eye exams and evaluation for contact lenses as well as the treatment of eye diseases such glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration and diabetic retinal exams. We also have an optical department with a large selection of frames and the highest quality lens options.
Special contacts range from Multifocal, Astigmatism, Extended Wear, Colored, Gas Permable, and Breathable Cls such as Oasys. Now offered is the New Acuvue VITA.
Our office is has extensive training in fitting custom maded Free-Form Progressive, Single Vision and Straight Top 28 lenses by Hoya. These lenses offer noticable reduced distortion and provides clear vision. Our office has available new media eyeglasses lenses for reduce glare and visual discomfort from blue light sources with your choice of indoor and outdoor lenses.

Columbus Eye Associates, P.C. is located on Twelfth Street in the heart of Uptown Columbus. Columbus Eye Associates just celebrated its 129th birthday, as it originated in 1890. The practice is one of the oldest in the state of Georgia, and quality and tradition carries on at Columbus Eye Associates where all patients receive more than just a vision examination. All regular examinations include an internal exam that can detect many systemic diseases. Columbus Eye Associates strives to provide uncompromised quality eye care and eye care products for their patients in a friendly professional atmosphere.
Meet the Business Owner: Dr. C. Watt T.
C. Watt Tate, O.D. has over 30 years experience in the Optical industry. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Optometry. Dr. Tate provides comprehensive eye exams which include testing for cataracts, glaucoma and macular degeneration.
