FINALLY, I got a date for installation. I was pleased with the crew and crew supervisor. BUT, I was told, my fence would NOT be stained or weather coated. Granted, I am getting one wooden fence and a chain linked fence out front, to close up my yard, but, for 7 grand, I did expect treated wood. Worst part? They came on a Tuesday, but have not returned. The Receptionist, a man, rudely told me, they would return next week, like I was a moron, for even asking the question! Meanwhile, me and my neighbors have NO clue, when this big crew plan to reappear on our block, to build the fence for these fence posts. YES, they have been in business 30+ years, but, that doesn't mean they are STILL reliable. Calling them, I feel like I interrupted them at home or on a date, or something. Rude, dismissive, and unable to just text or call me, when IS the date, I will finally get my fencing completed. P.S. The supervisor handed me his card, his son does stains and fence repair. So, these men have a nice racket; Fence Company sells unfinished wood fences, the Stain Company gets God knows how much MORE, to finish the job?!? Unethical and sneaky. I do NOT mind paying for high quality services. I do mind being set up, to keep paying, for what I thought would be done right, the first time. It is WAY easier, to treat the fence, BEFORE, it is erected.

I have a RV gate and a standard 4ft gate that needed to be replaced or reworked. I did some…read moreresearch and I decided to go with Ryan after the bids. In short, it was a great choice. The gates were done right, which gave a boost to my ego as my neighbors asked about my beautiful "new" gates. :) For those who are more technical or want more detail...here it is. The original wood slats of my gates were installed by the builder. Unless you have a custom home, chances are, those original wood slats are just not meant to last. I started a bid to either replace the gates or just change out the wood slat (to composite wood). Most of the vendors rather just change out the whole gate with preinstalled composite wood slats and do not bother with swapping the wood slats. In many cases, it is necessary to change out the entire gate. Ryan, however, is the only vendor who offered me with both choices - rehab the gate or change it out. Yes, he can do both. I am cheap so I went with the most economical method - rehab. After he is done, the gates look like new, and function like new. In fact, my landscaper thought I got a brand double gate, he couldn't tell this was a refreshment because in addition to the new composite wood slat (which will last a long time) the bolts & nuts are new, and the coating is new. We got one minor problem a month later - The composite wood slats, just like many other materials out there, contrasted and started to curve out (some worse than the others). Ryan came back out and adjusted it, no problem at all. This tells me he can be trusted and he stands behind his work even for a small job like mine. I would recommend Ryan to anyone who wants quality gate work done at a fair price.
