I've been going to see Dr. Hopping off and on for probably close to 10 years for Botox and filler. Recently, I decided to get a deep plane facelift with fat transference from Dr. Hopping. My only regret is that I didn't do this sooner. 10 days out, the bruising is almost gone. Swelling is subsiding substantially and I can already see an amazing difference. What I love about his approach is he gives you a better or I should say younger version of yourself. Dr. Hopping's bedside manner is informative and friendly at the same time and his staff, especially his nurse, Sunita are just absolutely wonderful and will be there for you every minute. read more

Breathing is worse. He literally surgically reduced my flow of oxygen. Nostrils flare out. Nose slants to one side, which was obvious day after and outrageous they missed this. Indent in nose where his work collapsed. He didn't remove all of a bump. Completely regret hiring this man at premium prices to do septoplasty and rhinoplasty. When I complained about the outcome, he said, "It's your fault you broke your nose." When I complained about the indent where is work collapsed, he recommended I get filler, seemingly for life. His pushy accomplice/nurse Sunita said he's an 'artist' but it's the opposite. read more

Dr. Hopping did a fabulous job on a neck and eye lift I had done 7 months ago. It was natural, I looked refreshed without looking overdone and looked like me. He listens, is conservative and does not push unwanted or unnecessary treatments. However, if you ask him what he recommends, he will honestly tell you his thoughts. His staff are kind, compassionate and thorough. Follow up after treatment was exceptional and my recovery was smooth. Dr. Hopping is a master at his craft. I highly recommend him. read more

I recently received my second procedure with Dr. Stephen Hopping and I couldn't be more pleased. It was a "tweak" to a neck lift several years ago to reduce the deep marionette lines around my mouth that were so aging and today they are GONE. There is a reason Dr. Hopping is the most familiar name in plastic surgery in this area and is so often referred. He is a master of creating a look that is understated and natural which is always the goal. His bedside manner cannot be beat - warm and honest with a good sense of humor and his office staff is equally friendly and professional. Although I am always apprehensive about choosing elective surgery, I'm glad that I trusted Dr. Hopping again to do the job - I feel I've added years to my appearance in looking more like myself. read more

Dr. Hopper is a top notch plastic surgeon and hair restoration specialist. Attentive, he has an expert opinion and can be trusted completely. He looks at you carefully, listens well, and thoroughly collaborates with you throughout the process. I had the "stealth lift" (face/ neck lift). Fully recovered, you'd never know I had it. No more chub under the chin, no more middle-aged sag (I'm a 54 year old male). Recovery takes about 2 weeks (some swelling and bruising is par for the course). Dr. Hopper's clinic is particularly careful about safety. He needs a letter from your physician (fitness for surgery etc.), bloodwork, current medications, the works. I also had a hair transplant with Dr. Hopper. Eight months later, hairline is restored. Perhaps still some hint of "earliest stage thinning" when the hair is really wet. Success is somewhere in the 90-95% range. You wouldn't think I had any hair loss if you met me now. Insertion of the follicles is somewhat painful (in spite of local anesthesia); an awake procedure unlike the stealth lift. It's a series of brief, exquisite but bearable pin pricks, over a couple of hours as I recall. Convalescence from that was made harder by the fact I couldn't put my head back (because of the removed bits of skin from the back of my head). This problem was mitigated by an "ear protector" (a small foam pad with an "ear hole", sold on Amazon.com). Five stars. read more

I have entrusted Dr. Hopping and his capable staff with my care for more than 20 years and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone and everyone. Dr. Hopping is well-versed in, and in fact pioneered, many of the latest cosmetic surgery techniques. His staff is kind and extremely detail-oriented, dutifully following up on prescriptions, medical record requests and all associated efforts. After a procedure, they will even wheel you directly to your hotel room if requested. All in all, you are in the best of hands with Dr. Hopping and his team and can expect outstanding care, excellent attention and superb results from this 5-star plus practice. read more

Dr Hopping and his staff are the best! He is such an experienced and skilled surgeon and his work is careful and natural looking. He does not push procedures but rather offers his advice and thoughts on what concerns you. His staff are caring and helpful and a special shout out to Sunita. Dr Hopping has been my go to and trusted Dr. for several procedures over the years. Highly recommend. read more

I've been going to Dr Hopping and Sunita for over 25 years. I could not ask for a more professional and welcoming staff. Dr Hopping has definitely surrounded himself with the best supporting team in the Washington DC area. I've had everything from Rhinoplasty to Liposuction to fillers over the years and I'm completely satisfied with the results. If you're looking for a Dr and staff that take the time to walk you through every procedure as if you're their only patient then you've come to the right place. I've recommend Dr Hopping and his team over the years to colleagues, friends and family and they all have nothing but positive feedback. I highly recommend Dr Hopping if you're thinking about having any cosmetic surgery or fillers done. read more

I had a brow lift back in June. I have to say Dr. Steven Hopping did an amazing job and talked me through the entire process to ease my nerves. I have been coming to Dr. Hopping for many years now and he is hands down the best plastic surgeon ever and every member of his staff are wonderful too! I am always warmly welcomed and I feel like they go above and beyond to make you feel like your family and taken care of. I originally came in for removal of a scar on the side of my nose due to a skin infection and was blown away with the results. There is no evidence of the a scar at all! After my first procedure, I started coming in for other treatments to keep my face looking refreshed. I always leave his office looking and feeling amazing. I came in the other day and I was treated by his nurse Ms. Sunita for Botox and fillers. Sunita is phenomenal! She took her time and ensured I was happy with the amount and the placement of the injections. The fine lines on my forehead and frown lines are gone. The fillers in my lips are perfection! They look fuller and so natural. I will definitely recommend Dr. Hopping for any of your cosmetic surgery needs! read more

My experience with Dr. Hopping and his staff was an exceptional one! I went to Dr. Hopping to get both of my ear lobes stitched as well as sat on a consultation with my mom as she decided whether or not she wanted to move forward with a neck lift. As I sat on the consultation he made sure he answered every one of my mothers questions no matter how much time was passing. I also noticed that he was very comforting to let her know exactly what she should expect after the surgery. This was very important to my mother as she suffers from an anxiety disorder. Although my mom did not decide to follow through with the surgery, she shared with me that she would have definitely chose Dr. Hopping to do the procedure. As far as my own procedure with stitching both of my ear lobes from wearing heavy earrings my entire life, I am very glad I chose Dr. Hopping. I could have gone to any doctor and paid less but knowing that I could trust a doctor as skilled as Dr. Hopping was very comforting to me. My pre op and post op appointments were very thorough even though it such a minor procedure. Him and his staff still treated me as if I was having major surgery. My results were great with no complications and I was impressed with the minimal scarring I had. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a comforting, skilled, professional experience!! read more

I cannot rave enough about Dr. Hopping. Having never had any kind of surgery before, the competence and professionalism of himself and his staff put me at ease. Dr. Hopping listened to what I was looking for in my septo/rhinoplasty and worked with me to build out the imaging photo for pre-op. The design was exactly what I wanted and oh did he deliver. A week after surgery when my split and cast came off I had no bruising and barely any swelling and my nose looked exactly as we had imagined in the computer imaging! Even better, is that I can breath clearly! Dr. Hopping is an amazing doctor, and after shopping around dc a for someone I could trust to perform surgery on my face, I am so happy to have found him! I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Hopping. I had a s-lift and healed very quickly and love the results. It's important to follow their prescribed post care routine because it really helps in the healing process. I had a very saggy neck at an early age due to sun exposure and genetics. No visible scars and I can wear scoop neck shirts again. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Hopping for 14 years and have such trust and confidence with him and his incredibly professional team. I have referred both family members and friends all who continue to use Dr. Hopping for cosmetic procedures. Dr. Hopping is very honest with his recommendations and I have never had any problems, only great results throughout the years. When my son had a severe rugby injury in college (broke his orbital floor) his office not only gave me an incredible referral, they were also able to help facilitate getting him seen the next day. Horrible surgeon. I had Asian double eyelid surgery back in 2011 and all he gave me was scars, not folds. And yet he states in his website like he's an expert in the field. I had to go to another surgeon to fix my eyes but the scars he did on my eyelids are there for life. I went in for post op and he injected steroid into my eyes saying they are too red! My next surgeon told me he wasn't supposed to do that AT ALL to my eyes. He offered to perform another operation on my eyes after 2 weeks of not seeing the folds. Thanks but I'm never letting him touch me again. I ended up spending an additional 6k to fix the mess he made. Do not ever go to him for Asian eyelid surgery! I felt like I burnt all my money. read more

8 years ago dr hopping did a fabulous facelift and I still look incredible ! Thank you so much Dr Hopping

There are so many plastic surgeons in the area, it can be confusing. If you're looking for great results from a highly skilled surgeon and a world class nursing and office team... look no further. Over the past 15 years, I've had three procedures - and each time have been very happy with the results. You'll never look "done" -- just refreshed and natural. Dr. Hopping always has time to answer your questions and address any concerns or issues you may have. And... as a plus - he's just a good person. His pro bono work has made all the difference for a lot of kids overseas. Bottom line: you can trust this team implicitly. read more

I had a lower face and neck lift in early May of 2013. I was nervous on the day of surgery and almost cancelled due to fear. I returned home the same day and could tell even then that Dr. Hopping had done an exceptional job. I looked better and better as time passed. I saw my family this past December and was reminded of how well I looked. The comments went on and on. Yesterday I visited a dry cleaner I used to frequent in Cleveland Park before I moved. I was told, my goodness you look so good, so young. I told the owner about the operation. She kept repeating, you look so young. Dr. Hopping is an artist with an MD. He has a wonderful sense of humor. His calm is contagious. I highly recommend him for any form of aesthetic surgery. read more

Dr. Hopping performed a lower face and neck lift for me that made me look a decade younger, but in such a natural way that people may comment on how good I look but have trouble pinpointing the cause of change, just as we want it. I got an oval face and pretty chin line that I have not had for a long time and men's eyes linger on me again. :) Dr. Hopping was recommended to me by a lady friend who has done the same surgery over 10 years ago and still looks fabulous. It was so important to me to know that I could trust the skills, care and experience of Dr. Hopping. One other major point is the placement of incisions that makes them undetectable. The surgery is not inexpensive, but if we look at the current healthcare costs, it is very reasonable. I had an unrelated laparoscopic simple 1 hour procedure this year that was billed to my insurance at the higher cost than my much longer and highly demanding of the surgeon S-lift. Everyone in Dr. Hopping's office is caring and responsive. I would highly recommend Dr. Hopping to anyone looking for a highly skilled, experienced and personable cosmetic surgeon. read more

I have been a fan of Dr. Hopping now for over 10 years. Whether it's for Botox or a cosmetic procedure I trust no one else. Dr. Hopping's mastery is in his ability to make the work look natural. Never will you appear over "done," or like some wax museum piece. Professional, skilled, caring and refined. Trust your vanity to no other team. read more

Dr. Steven B. Hopping is not only an extremely skilled cosmetic surgeon, he is also a warm and caring human being. I first went to Dr. Hopping over twelve years ago for an S-Lift to address some skin sagging and neck jowls on my lower face. That procedure went extremely well, and I returned to work within two weeks. I looked refreshed and rested, not "done". This summer I returned to Dr. Hopping for an S-Tuck or rejuvenation of the original procedure. Again, all went well, and I am most pleased with the results. A neighbor commented that she could not tell that I had anything done, only that I looked younger with a natural appearance. At age sixty-five, that is a plus! Dr. Hopping was very involved with me every step of the way: from the consultation, pre-op, surgery, and post-op appointments. In addition, I have found his team to be outstanding. They are pleasant, professional, thorough, and knowledgeable. It should be noted that many of Dr. Hopping's staff who assisted me over twelve years ago are still with him. I find that to be impressive. My experience allows me to highly recommend Dr. Steven B. Hopping and his staff without exception. I think that they are the best! JM Kane Washington, DC read more

Dr. Hopping and all his staff are great! My mom had eye lift surgery with him about a decade ago and it is an amazing job! Still looks fantastic and she healed perfectly. I started losing hair due to extreme stress about 6 years ago. Then about three years ago researched PRP therapy to restore hair. I found out Dr. Hopping is doing this procedure in his office and I am so happy with the results. After the initial three (schedule close together) treatments, I go for maintenance about once a year. Hair had filled in, I can't see scalp anymore when I pull my hair up, and it has more thickness. Worth the money and the temporary pain (just during the injections- take some ibuprofen or a pain pill about 1/2 hour before to take the edge off)!!! He's got great beside manner too and talks you through all processes and procedures. He's also very honest and doesn't push any treatments you don't want to know more about. read more

I had a chemical peel from Dr. Hopping that was amazing. I was worried it wouldn't address the fine lines on my face that were making me look old and tired, but WOW, he did it just right. I visited Dr. Hopping for a hair transplant. There were two appointments before the procedure during which he explained everything, answered all of my questions, and made me feel very comfortable. He's very conversational and has an excellent bedside manner. His staff is also excellent. I dealt with them on appointments and follow-ups. They were consistently friendly, funny, and professional. The day of the procedure went very smoothly. I was made comfortable and put at ease. The follow-up was excellent as well. I received a call that night and then had an office appointment a few days later. This was a very good experience and this is a caring and professional doctor who knows what he is doing. Dr. Hopping performed a rhinoplasty/septoplasty procedure on my nose this past June. He was extremely thorough in going over pre-op instructions, meeting with me twice before the procedure itself, and provided a comprehensive package with detailed instructions. I was grateful that I was able to fill all of my prescriptions for the surgery before the procedure itself. ( also had a consultation with the anesthesiologist before the procedure which was great because I had had a bad reaction to anesthesia in a previous surgery. In addition to putting me completely at ease with the procedure, thanks in part to his amazing office and nursing staff who make the entire enterprise run seamlessly, the end result was phenomenal. I had absolutely no pain and very little swelling and bruising- in fact, when I went to other doctor's appointments and updated my medical history, many commented on how surprised they were by the minimal swelling. It looks completely natural, and I couldn't be happier. Never once, not even for a second, did I regret my surgery thanks to his amazing skill. I am looking forward to enjoying this nose for the rest of my life! Although I think he may be going a little overboard with the number of follow-up procedures he wants, it is clear that he takes a real interest in each patient and pride in his work. Definitely worth the price, 11/10 would recommend. read more

I fly across the country to use Dr. Hopping he is that good. I need a doctor who is a top medical practitioner who understands each patient's needs--in my case very conservative treatment for a corporate executive not wishing to look 'done' or hoping to be 'mutton dressed as lamb' but just needing expert management to avoid having any perception of age harm my work or prospects. Dr. Hopping is not disgustingly syrupy or flattering; he is smart and professional and on-time; he listens carefully and remembers from visit to visit all previous conversations; he does not try to talk you into procedures and will, indeed, to the opposite when that is appropriate. His waiting room is full of people who clearly have the means to go anywhere they want and choose him. His staff has been with him for decades--a very significant fact--and they are also the best. If one's goal is top quality medical management tailored for the particular patient, and not a lot of gushing marketers over-promising results to sell products and procedures, Dr. Hopping should be your choice. read more
