The seats are comfortable, the sound is excellent, and I've always appreciated how smooth everything usually runs. Last night, though, was disappointing. I always get a popcorn bucket with the free refill, and when it's time for that refill, I simply walk up to the counter and they take care of it. This time, I was told I had to go all the way back to the end of the line. The line was long--easily a 15-20 minute wait. That left me with two choices: miss a big chunk of my movie or go back to my seat without popcorn. I chose the latter. If this is a new policy, it really doesn't make sense. A dedicated spot for refills would solve the issue and keep the experience consistent with what longtime customers expect.

The concessions staff were friendly and efficient. Only 4 stars for concessions pricing...$8 for an icy? Crazy. The theater itself was clean, the chairs reclined, and were cozy. As the girl was complying with the request,, the manager snapped at her again to let her know she could take it out to her car if she couldn't follow the rules (that she was following). The guy working behind the concessions counter was a straight up jerk. No idea if it was little man syndrome, or what, but he had a terrible attitude; he was huffing and blowing and tsk-ing about everything, even though there was nothing wrong happening. Not sure who he was mad at, but taking it out on the customers and making them feel uncomfortable because he wants to huff and pout about things isn't ok. Not to mention his fingernails were too long and they were dirty. Food service workers should not have dirty fingernails. Some also have heat, which is needed because they keep their theaters very cool. We viewed the film in their big EMAX theater - it's a great viewing and listening experience. My only beef with Emagine is that their concession teams don't always fill your popcorn bucket. At 5 PM there were only two people working and one of them left, due to a shift change. The replacement was behind the counter, but didn't start until 10 mins later. She also didn't bother to clean or sanitize her hands before taking an order. The same hands went into the popcorn bin and touched the register...no gloves...just nasty! I reported it to the manager. The same employees were working when I left, but they were in a huddle laughing while customers waited to be served. As for the cinema seats, the controls do not always work and the floors were so sticky that the film remained until I wiped them off, at home. That's a lot of debris that made it through the lobby, concrete, the ride home, the garage and the tile just inside of my home. Again, just nasty! Just poor service all of the way around. So sad that this place has declined so rapidly!
