It challenges you and helps you think quick on your feet. Must be able to handle extemporaneous changes in themes too. I also have a friend that participated in the Improv school / program and found it useful. Helped my friend come out of his shell more, not so much funnier in his delivery. You either have it or you don't. I found it amusing and very clear cut who among the troupe excelled at improv. Only a few tend to stand out each show. Kudos to all for their effort nonetheless, it's not easy to do in front of bunch of strangers.

They have an eclectic variety of food trucks that look and smell mouthwatering. But they could use more seating, it's very limited compared to the amount of people eating the goodies. I love the adult beverages available to purchase through tickets. They have a ginormous variety of beer and mixed drinks, plus some of the money goes toward different charities and good causes. It's ten tickets for $20, but this year I noticed you may purchase individual tickets. I prefer this option! Tickets are $2 a piece, so most beers cost around $6 or three tickets. I got the Griffinclaw pumpkin beer. It was amazing! Very pumpkin forward with a nice spice aftertaste. Most of the mixed drinks are between three and four tickets, cheaper than most bars. I've even seen some for two tickets. The parking can be challenging. We were able to find a good spot and only paid $3.00. But I wonder if it gets more challenging in the evening hours. I bet this a fun time at night. This is a great event when paired with the Funky Ferndale fair. I look forward to next year.

The teams who did our show last night were very talented and came up with hilarious improv skits. The referee is great at getting the crowd worked up and into the show right from the start. The audio/visual tech guy really adds another layer of fun and comedy to the entire show. We went with a group of seven ranging in age from 11 to 45 years, including hard to please teenagers, and we all came away laughing and wanting to go back again. I would highly recommend ComedySportz for a date night, or group outing for any age!

They were jumping up and down and the look on her face was priceless. In the past we have really enjoyed the comedy of "Whose Line is it Anyway" and have a good idea of what to expect. However, it definitely exceeded any expectations that we had. The two teams were very funny and creative and the referee did a great job warming the audience and keeping them involved.

I came here for the first time last night to see a speaking engagement for the show Under the Radar…read moreon PBS. I'm not familiar with the theatre, but I really enjoyed my time here. I got an email about 2 weeks prior giving me the rundown of how things work. They let me know that there's a parking garage right across the street which was very convenient. Admittedly, the front door was hard to find but I figured it out when I saw the line to get in. Going inside the place doesn't have a bad seat in the house. Bathrooms are right there in the theatre so you don't have to miss too much of the show if you need to go. Well decorated and easy to get around. My only complaint was if someone tall's sitting in front of you it can be difficult. Seats could have been off set so you don't have to have this problem. Overall a great experience and the place is a gem.

I'm really sad to be posting this. We had a very bad experience here. I think they have bad…read morebusiness practices and their classes for children are overfilled and not engaging at all. I have a son who has done aerials for a full year elsewhere. Because of Agora's policy and the way the children's classes are set up, they have the first and second tiers simultaneously. We were told that they would see if he would be advanced enough to place in the second tier within a few weeks. I've never noticed anyone actually take a second to evaluate any of the kids, but I have noticed some of the tinier, stretchier girls have been place with the second group. I get that girls are typically more limber than boys; but he is strong and skilled on the equipment.. Needless to say he's still in the first tier. So every week we go and every week he stands in line for approximately 30-40 minutes just to hang on a piece of silk or a trapeze or a Lyra for 15 seconds. We do this about 7-8 times and the hour is up. $160 for this for 8 weeks? It's disappointing. I guess my hopes were too high. Oh the other thing they get ya with is that in order for your child to be in the performance they have to register for the first course and that ends before the program, so then you must enroll in the next 8 weeks. What's cool is I'm actually in the area pretty often on Sundays because I go to a laundromat nearby, and it always looks like they're hosting a really solid brunch crowd. After seeing the vibe firsthand, I can definitely see that being a go-to brunch spot. They also keep things exciting throughout the week. Every Thursday at 7 PM, they host trivia with Jonathan from Quizzo -- six rounds covering different topics with chances to win prizes like gift cards. That's the kind of midweek plan that turns a regular Thursday into something to look forward to. And if that's not enough, axe throwing is part of the experience too, in partnership with Detroit Axe Ferndale. Axe throwing has seriously become one of the most fun social activities out right now, and having expert Axe Masters guide you through it makes it even better. There's nothing like that satisfying thunk when the axe hits the target. Between the food, the drinks, the games, and the overall energy, The Corner Grill is more than just a bar and grill -- it's an experience. Definitely a spot I'll be back to.

I usually park on the residential street behind the venue because by the time I arrive, the surrounding parking lots are all full. This works out in my favor though because I have not had to pay for parking. You enter through the back where they check your ID and scan your ticket. They have a nice little seating area with benches towards the back and a decent sized area for a "pit" where you would watch the show. All of their drinks seem fairly priced for a music venue. I paid $8 for a Bell's Oberon Eclipse. It does get SUPER hot in there, especially if you are in the mix closer to the stage. I feel like the music sounds pretty good here and I usually leave feeling super pleased with my experience.
