I've been a loyal patient since 2015. This is not intended as a complaint or negative review. Basically it's a reminder to know the cost of services before they're performed. For example the doctor told his staff to conduct a CT scan. Never quoted a price. After I was told it cost almost $1000 but that I'd be charged 50% of their earlier lower price (almost $200). And they proceeded to bill my dental insurance the entire nearly $1000 for the imaging (which my insurance denied). I'm scheduled for extraction and implant early next year but when I asked for the cost I was told they need to calculate it and let me know. I'm still waiting 3 weeks later. I like Dr Tassone as a dentist but there have been times from visit to visit that his diagnosis changes. I don't want to change dentists but now getting teeth cleaning elsewhere. I'm aware opinions can change and different dentists offer entirely different treatment options. What I don't appreciate are my dental insurance benefits getting wiped out before I can blink twice. After that I'm on my own and having to decide if want to pay the high rates. read more

Smart Smile is right between kick boxing and Party City can't miss it. When scheduling my appointment I was expecting for it to be months out like other practices, but to my surprise it wasn't! Interior is fresh, vibrant and laughter flows throughout the halls and it was an amazing experience. Having knowledge in the dental field as I've worked in ortho I knew what specific questions to ask prior to booking my appointment. I stated that I would like to have the following completed: X-rays, Cleaning, Updated retainers, possibly Invisalign to correct UR8 and trays for whitening! After speaking with Jennifer she assured me that the Dr. would be able to address all my concerns. I arrived to my appointment and after sitting in the chair the Amazing hygienist Jenean (sorry if I butchered your name) asked what I was seeking out of today's appointment. I explained and to my surprise the Dr. was not available to see me when that was the main importance of my important. I was only disappointed because when leaving work early you have to capitalize on your time to make sure all is taken care of. I found Dr. Tassone through patient's before and after's and I was sold. Dr. Tassone is sweet with excellent bedside manners. Beautiful office, easy parking and his staff is downright pleasant. My dental work: tooth extraction, bleaching, gum contouring and bridge for my soon-to-be missing tooth. Visit 1- Consultation, X-rays, and discussion of my expectations for veneers. We looked at photos of veneer shapes while Dr. Tassone offered his professional input. My visit was free and 1.5 Hours. Visit 2- Wax up (mold to create 3-D veneer model) OPTIONAL and worth it. Included bleaching trays and bleach. It will be two weeks to receive the wax up from the lab. My visit was $395 and 1.5 Hours. Visit 3- Wax up 3-D model viewing. Reviewed a model of my teeth/gums covered in the veneer style I picked. I held the model at different angles and inspected it. I was provided the treatment cost and payment options. My visit was free and 2 hours. Visit 4- The worst visit to date. 1 Tooth pulled, 8 teeth prepped for veneers, 2 teeth had gum contouring. My visit was 7 hours. No pain, no gain! I originally went to a well known dental office in Beverly Hills to inquire about getting veneers and a crown lengthening (removal of excess gum tissue). After paying a few thousands for the gum surgery I was not impressed! I decided not to get my veneers done there. I found Dr. Tassone online and went in for a consultation. He redid my gum surgery for 1/4th of the cost! and I also got 4 veneers done for the same price of 2 veneers in Beverly Hills! My gums look great (much better than what the other guy did!), and my veneers look amazing and natural! Dr. Tassone is a perfectionist and does an amazing job at delivering professional high quality work! The staff is also very professional! Wendy does an amazing job with the temporary veneers! She does a great job of modeling the temps to look very similar to the permanent veneers. No one will ever know that they are temps because she is that good at what she does! Tassone is the most THOROUGH, caring, and awesome dentist I have met in a long long while! And I've met a LOT of dentists.... I've been trying to replace my childhood dentist, who was awesome, for the last few years. I finally found him! I have great oral hygiene, but my family genes are no bueno in this area. So this subject is very important to me. I also try to make sure I spend my hard earned money and precious time on and around people that deserve it! I've visited Dr. Tassone's office several times, but I have to take the time tonight, to share my experience... he saw me at the very end of his day today. And I was even 15minutes late. Still, he had a smile on his face and was happy to see me. I'm not sure if he does this with all his clients or if he just knows I love to learn about new things, but he took the extra time (did I mention it was the end of the day?!) to teach me all about my CT scan and X-rays. As I held up a mirror, he showed me where the minuscule pockets (that can't be seen with the naked eye) in between my teeth and gums, that I need to closely watch for preventative care. Excellent care for what many people think is an invasive and scary procedure - an extraction which will be followed by an implant. Dr. Tassone uses an excellent Oral Surgeon who spent lots of time explaining the process which was confidence building and helped calm my fears about what was about to happen. The Oral Surgeon then completed the extraction with no problems at all, and then answered more questions. His technician was great. And Dr Tassone further spoke with me to make sure everything was okay. I'm very impressed with his practice and thoroughness. The implant process is lengthy and I believe that the rest of the steps will go as well as this. read more
