I contacted Prime Electric regarding a recurring issue with an electrical outlet that trips every…read moretwo hours. What started as a simple service request quickly turned into a frustrating and costly experience that ultimately left the original problem unresolved and far worse.
The pressure to make an appointment was made immediately when I first called, little did I know, this was just the beginning of my terrible experience. I was assured over the phone that I could make an appointment and cancel at any time, only find out that there is a $99 fee, effectively locking me in. That alone set the tone for this downward spiral.
When the technician arrived, the visit lasted approximately 15 minutes. No meaningful diagnostic process or repair was performed. I was led to believe they would install a dedicated circuit to properly address the issue, but instead I was told they supposedly "reconnected a loose wire." For this minimal effort, I was charged $450.
The same day, the outlet tripped again, exactly as it had before. When I called to get help and tell them the outlet tripped again, they literally told me to press the reset button. I cannot believe they actually told me reset it when my original problem is that I have to constantly reset my outlet because there is a ground fault causing it to trip.
I am posting a photo of the $450 troubleshoot estimate that does not disclose any details about the project that they basically tricked us into signing. If you work with this company, do yourself a favor and DO NOT SIGN. You can see for yourself they left the estimate blank intentionally to not actually bind them to any work. There was never any proof of repair, or proof of any problem that they were troubleshooting.
When I called and expressed my concerns, the heartless owner basically shrugged off my concerns and told me if the technician had to return, it would be another $350 charge because it is a separate issue. This is quite unbelievable the amount of greed and lack of caring this company has for its customers. They do not care if the customer is satisfied and their only goal is to extract as much money from you as possible.
I was told that if a technician returned, it would cost an additional $350 because it would be considered a "separate issue." There was no accountability, no attempt to stand behind their work, and no concern for resolving the problem they were hired to fix.
What's worse is the ongoing experience after the visit. Despite delivering ineffective service, they continued to call and solicit additional work like telemarketers. Meanwhile, when I attempted to schedule a follow-up to actually resolve the original issue, it became difficult to even secure an appointment--as if my prior experience didn't matter.
Their so-called guarantee is meaningless. Their communication is inconsistent. Their priorities are clear: maximize charges, minimize effort, and move on.
I'm now left with a $450 bill, lost time coordinating around their schedule, and the exact same electrical issue I started with. This experience reflects a complete lack of professionalism, technical integrity, and customer care. I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere.
Their guarantee is worthless, their word is worthless, and now I'm stuck with a $450 bill, hours of time, effort and planning my office operations around their schedule and I still have my original problem left unresolved. Thank you for absolutely nothing and wasting my time
