Anyway, last night was the first time I had unbearable pain. And at 1am I gave in and came here just to get a simple extraction. The staff was very friendly and professional. Dr Ansari who took care of me was fantastic. Not only did he extract the problem tooth, he gave me the idea of extracting every bad tooth in my mouth and get a game plan going to rebuild. A very painless procedure, I did op for the sedation that will cost a little extra, but totally worth it. So 8 extractions later I dare to even say it was enjoyable experience. I can not emphasize enough how attentive and friendly Dr Ansari was. a true professional. I actually look forward going back and getting more consultations and game plan going for my implants. I would definitely recommend going here.

This seemed a little strange since I eat fairly healthily, don't drink soft drinks, and brush and floss regularly, although I hadn't been to the dentist in 5 years because I didn't have insurance. They then said I would have to pay over $1500 out of pocket for the work (or use their dental credit affiliate) This did not sound or feel right, so I went to another dentist for a second opinion, and they said I had NO CAVITIES. Basically, Edgewood might be scamming people- I can't speak for everyone, but in my case- that was a lot of unnecessary work that would have been done. It is disappointing that people with knowledge and power would take advantage of others for money. I am a grad student, Indianapolis resident and am not with any competing dentist trying to mud sling other dentists through reviews.

I communicated I had sensitive gums and teeth and asked how many x rays ? Why so many ? The woman was oriental with no personality whatsoever . She was aggressive, using the tools to put in my mouth as well each time pushing camera into the tool that was already in my mouth further into mouth hitting/rubbing/scratching the inside of my gums . She was not gentle nor seem to care for my concerns I exs pressed. Trying to swallow with this tool in my mouth had me coughing and she had pulled the tool out hitting my tooth pretty hard of which I said " ouch ,can you be more gentle please?" .. My gums and mouth were in pain and I had stoped her 3 times as she continued to take 12 plus more x rays. When the Denist came over whom was very polite I again verbally stated my gums and teeth were very sensitive and asked why so many x rays... When I had an opportunity to get home, the back of my tooth felt funny, kinda like sandpaper I noticed that the back of my tooth was chipped And that the skin was rubbed raw from where the tool was in my mouth. My teeth have been bleeding for the last several days, and i have been taking pics . I contacted the office since and spoke with a woman named Kim whom told me that that they would charge me for another appointment for me to be seen to acknowledge that my gums were bleeding and my tooth was possibly chipped. ... I stated that that was completely unethical ! we are not on the same page how your choosing to go about this. asking if a manager and/or an ownership to reach out to me . I said I had preferred to deal with this in-house because I understand people make mistakes and I was in a lot of pain of which Kim the "manager" had said she would check and get back to me leaving me in an emergency situation with no help or reference. When I had asked for my x-rays, she had told me I would need to come in to sign a consent form of which I also thought was ridiculous.. A few days later, I called another location. They disagreed with how the situation was handled said that they would take me as a new patient and absolutely that it needed to be looked at immediately . .then an hour or so later had a manager from that location in Avon contact me saying that I was " dismissed as a patient" but she understood the situation and would reach out to a regional manager and have them get back with me as soon as tomorrow. Nothing about that is ethical my gums are bleeding. My cheek is swollen. My tooth is chipped and it seems to be that the original location does not want to take accountability and/or acknowledge the damage that was done to a new patient. I think this speaks volumes for the business itself in the entirety of the established chains and how they go about helping versus hurting patients, regardless of Indiana medical and dentistry state laws

His staff is very friendly and welcoming. They do excellent work and work very hard to try to take care of all issues as quickly as possible however, still taking into account if there are any costs, so that it does not hit too hard. I just moved from another state and this dentist was part of my PPO network. I made an appointment…read morebecause she is close to my residence and when I arrived, I was only given an exam and my teeth were not cleaned. I was informed after the exam that my cleaning would be scheduled at a later time. I have never had a dentist do that before and thought it was weird, but agreed (like had any choice). I received a voice mail a couple of weeks later that there was an opening but when I called back, I was informed the opening had already been reserved. I informed the person on the phone that I would be seeking another dentist and she said "well that's your option but we'll keep on our waiting list." She was rather crass and unprofessional in her response. Hence, I contacted my insurance company who informed me that they would not cover another exam, only a cleaning and oral examination. If I knew all this before, I would have never chosen Jamestowne Dental as my provider.

And I had a tooth that I needed pulled, and he just flat out, refused to pull it, and then when I went out into the waiting room and was explaining to my mother, the situation, he came out in the waiting room. And told me not to be bad mouthing him in front of his other patients. Yet, he is the one that stood in a room and yelled at the top of his lungs at me. This is the same dentist's office where my mother witnessed a drug deal happened right in the.Reception area. The quality of care when he first started, his practice was beyond amazing.The quality of care now I don't know because I refuse to go back to him.I got to the point where I would literally only go to this practice if I had to. I also recall once that I had broken.My tooth off and I called first thing.The next morning to see if I could get an emergency appointment and the receptionist told me that they did not have emergency appointments.And when I asked to speak to the dentist himself, I was told that he did not take phone calls.And I was being that I was being rude to her when, in fact, I was not and most dentist offices and or doctor's offices have in empty slots for emergencies.
