I've been seeing him for three months now, and my back is feeling much better after his adjustments. This last weekend I spent several hours doing yard work that, until recently, would have resulted in a sore back - or worse. But this weekend? Nada. I feel better all day and I sleep better all night. At first I was skeptical about seeing a chiropractor. I got in an accident about two months ago and was all twisted up also because I have scoliosis but as he says I am one hard customer I don't adjust easily and the " almighty Strauss "finally adjusted my lower back and I straightened out that twisted look that had kept me from walking straight. Now I'm feeling good and I owe it to him. I never thought chiropractic adjustments would work for how messed up my back is. I would recommend him to anyone who wants an adjustment without the fluff and foo foo, Thank you Mark, I am eternally grateful. I cannot recommend Montecito Chiropractic Center highly enough…read more After trying several chiropractors in California over the years, this is the first time I can genuinely say that I am completely satisfied--not only with the treatment, but with the entire approach to understanding and improving my overall condition. From the beginning, Dr. Altan impressed me with his professionalism, knowledge, precision, and attention to detail. What makes his approach so different is that treatment doesn't simply begin with an adjustment. There is a thorough evaluation first--including X-rays, posture analysis, spinal alignment, range of motion, the movement and position of the head, flexibility, and other assessments designed to understand what is actually happening with your body before deciding how to treat it. For me, that makes an enormous difference. I don't feel that I am receiving a generic chiropractic treatment; I feel that there is a real understanding of my individual situation and a clear purpose behind what Dr. Altan does. Most importantly, I can feel the results. My overall condition has improved, and for the first time after my previous experiences with chiropractic care, I truly feel confident that I am in the right hands. And I absolutely have to mention Tanya and Kenya. They are amazing. They bring warmth, kindness, professionalism, and genuine care to the office. From the moment you walk through the door, you feel welcomed and looked after. The combination of Dr. Altan's expertise and Tanya and Kenya's wonderful personalities makes the entire experience exceptional. I have already recommended Montecito Chiropractic to friends, and some of them have started going there as well. I would never recommend a healthcare practice to people I care about unless I truly believed in it. Dr. Altan, Tanya, and Kenya--you are an incredible team. Thank you for the professionalism, the kindness, the attention, and especially for making a real difference in how I feel. Without hesitation: five stars and my highest recommendation.

Dr Lundbaek can fix anything! I'm serious... I've seen him as my chiropractor for around a year now…read moreand always enjoy talking with him, getting adjusted and that extra massage he throws in. So when my teenage kitten (who gets into everything) suddenly couldn't jump up on the counter, I thought, "Should I leave him like this so he breaks less stuff? OR should I ask Dr Lundbaek?" I took my cat to him and he did a little adjustment. In gratitude, my damn cat knocked a beautiful lathe bowl off the mantelpiece and broke it. I shared the story with Dr Lundbaek, and that I'd reached out to Nextdoor to find a woodworker to hopefully glue it back together. This was certainly a new experience for me (ahh, the joys of turning 40!). The pain in my lower back was so excruciating, I could barely get out of bed and walk. I would walk a few feet and then out of nowhere I would get a sudden jolt of pain. I felt like someone was sticking needles in a voodoo doll of me. Thank God for Dr. Lundbaek. He came highly recommended to me by my mom (which is high praise indeed), my Godmother, and a few tennis friends. I called his office up on Friday morning, and they got me in for an appointment just a few hours later. This was my first time visiting a chiropractor, so I didn't really know what to expect. For some reason, I was anticipating some sort of hippy dippy experience full of chakra-talk, crystals, and patchouli oil. Well, I couldn't have been more way off. Dr. Lundbaek was very down-to-earth, professional, and got straight to business. He quickly assessed my situation (2 out-of-whack vertebrae), and immediately went to work to help my poor, aching back. I'll admit, I didn't feel all that better after the first visit. But I came back again 2 days later for more adjustment. And after my 3rd visit the following day, I actually felt like a human being again. It's been 5 days, and my back pain is now a thing of the past (and I couldn't be more grateful). I would totally recommend Dr. Lundbaek for all of your chiropractic needs. And while I hope that I never damage my vertebrae again, I know that if I ever do, he'll be the first person I call to get my back!

I've been using acupuncture for more than 40 years and have been treated by many practitioners over the decades. After a total knee replacement in May 2025, I continued to experience daily pain, especially at night. For 15 months, I accepted that pain as my new normal. Then I had a treatment with Dr. Mackenzie. For the first time in 15 months, I was completely pain-free. It felt nothing short of miraculous. More than a week later, the pain is still gone. Waking up without pain and sleeping through the night has been life-changing, and every day I find myself grateful for the relief. I also saw Dr. Mackenzie for a migraine. In my past experience, acupuncture would ease the pain during the treatment and perhaps for a couple of hours afterward, but the migraine would always return. This time it didn't. The migraine was gone and stayed gone. Dr. Mackenzie combines deep knowledge, skill, and genuine compassion. Her treatments have produced results that exceeded anything I thought possible. If you're considering acupuncture for pain relief or migraines, I wholeheartedly recommend her. Finding Dr. Mackenzie has made a tremendous difference in my quality of life.
