But at the same time he always listened to our opinions as well as our concerns and when we disagreed on how aggressive to price the listing he did as we asked. When our first buyers backed out he kept us positive, and devised a strategy to keep our listing "fresh". It obviously worked since we received a much higher offer the second time around. We met him at an open house, and he was different from the other realtors we met. He was friendly and informative. We immediately knew we wanted him as our realtor. What amazed me was how honest he was. Every time we looked at a house, he gave his honest, expert opinion on every little detail. He has a very keen sense of observation. He saw things that my husband and I would've never noticed and explained how they might cause problems. And he never pressured us until we found "the one." And we did find our first house with him and he made the process easy and worry-free. He has smart ideas and knows how to give us the best deal. Five and a half years later (January 2017), we had Steve help sell our house because we wanted to move into a different area. He and Leslie staged our house beautifully. We received a great offer within 6 says of our listing. Once again, he walked us through the process with ease and honesty. Once our house sold, we went on the second part of the journey and found our new home in Danville. I highly recommend anyone looking for a home or wanting to sell their home to contact Steve. It was very clear that he felt his role was to help us find the right home - not just any home. He has a strong passion for his job and was available to show us houses - even outside of open house times. Oftentimes, we had our 1 year old with us, and he was really great with her too. He was available via text and phone call, and really accommodated our preferred communication style which was really convenient since we were in the throes of being new parents while also looking for a new house. We also really appreciated that by working with Brian, we not only got a realtor, but a team of support that helped to wrap around us to make the homebuying process less unnerving - this means, guiding us for when to get pre-approvals, providing recommendations for banks for the loan, etc etc. We have now closed on our house, and we could not be more excited. Even as we prepare to move in, we know that Brian is there as a resource to help us as we navigate any needed repairs and any questions that pop up along the way. They supplied me with local recommendations for lenders, contractors, inspectors, and home insurance agents.  I came to equate looking for a home like online dating. As you're endlessly getting your hopes up while you click on various properties, you start thinking, "Is this (one) right for me?". Some look great in pictures, but not quite so great in-person, while others have virtually no pics and description that adds no details "for sale"(gee, thanks). Yet every time I got my heart set on a property, Steph and Brian would entertain each of my "crushes" as if this might be the one. They did a pre-screenings, called me to tour on FaceTime, they pulled disclosures (and often went over them with me), and never pushed me in a direction that  was out of my comfort zone.  Since a lot of listings go fast, Steph and Brian were always up-to-speed on what needed to happen and when. I learned about preemptive offers, offer letters, and the pros/cons of contingencies. On a few occasions, Brian lined up a contractor to walk through properties with me so I could really get a good idea of the costs and scope of what some of these older homes would need. We would talk transparently about the price that it would probably take to win, and more often than not, they were right on the money. Upon bidding, they would keep me looped into ongoings. And when lost or we were asked to counter, I was presented with the straight-forward facts, so I could make an informed decision to press on. And then it happened... my bid was accepted!  Brian and Steph walked me through the whole closing process, helping beyond all the paperwork--making sure the sidewalk inspection was finalized and that the extension for the sewer lateral was filed.  I just hosted my first Thanksgiving in my "new" house and I couldn't be happier. Thank you, Steph and Brian!
