Fine, I say let's keep the appointment and see how he feels later. They say "nope, sorry he cannot come in and he is banned for a year". Foster children have very challenging and ever changing lives that require flexibility for all parties. All Smiles Family Dental treated my son like a 2nd class citizen like so many others have. If it's ever a wonder why inner city children have some of the worst dental hygiene issues of any demographic, it probably starts with places like Family Dental that show a lack of grace and flexibility to the least of these. Truly disheartening how this place treats the most broken of children.

Before my appointment, I received an…read moreexcessive number of communications -- five texts and two phone calls -- which felt overwhelming for something that could have been handled much more efficiently. In response, I simply texted back asking them to "please limit the number of calls/texts I receive". I felt this was a reasonable and polite request. However, when I arrived for my appointment, the dentist confronted me and stated that I was being rude and had an issue with his staff, which was both surprising and uncomfortable. To add to the frustration, I have previously received text messages from this office with incorrect appointment dates and times, which makes the volume of communication even more concerning rather than helpful. At no point was I disrespectful -- I was just asking for more streamlined and accurate communication. Being addressed this way by a provider was very uncomfortable especially since it was done at the beginning of the appointment.
