I will go to Dale Auto Sales for my next set of wheels…read more I recently had to get a new used car. I was driving a '97 Ford Counter. I can say I got my money out of the car, but she was on her last run. Her engine was dying and transmission too. No ifs, ands, or buts about it, I needed to get a car. I had $3000 that I was able to put towards a car. I looked everywhere and realized; that I was going to need more than $3,000 if I wanted anything remotely reliable. I had a car picked out and put $3,000 down and applied for a loan for the remaining amount of about $2,000. The bank denied my loan. I was absolutely shocked! My credit is not bad, I have $0 in credit card bills, and all my current bills were up to date. The bank said that because of the economy, there were not giving hardly anyone a loan. I was way upset, didn't know what I was going to do. My boyfriend called everywhere! No one seemed to have anything for under $3,000; anything reliable anyway. My boyfriend called Dale Auto Sales and spoke with the owner Alfred. He described the cars in his lot for him and said that he would stay open for us if we wanted to see what he had tonight. We were 30-45 minutes away, and it was already past closing time, but he had no problem waiting for us. Alfred is not like any other salesperson that I have met. He was not pushy, and was very honest. He was not concerned about making a profit but for my happiness. One car I asked about he said that I did not want it because...I couldn't believe that that level of honesty was actually coming out of a used car salesman's mouth. He had one vehicle there that I fell in love with, a '98 Olds. Bravada. After a test drive and look under the hood, I decided to get it. I would have to go to my dad for a little help if I had to, but I did not want to. I decided that I was not going to find anything else in this good of condition, and drivable no less. With the trade in of my other car, Alfred sold me the Olds for $2400! it Kelly Blue Booked for over $6000! My prayers were answered, and I could not have been happier. Some of you may be thinking, "What's wrong with it?" I will have you all know that Alfred had told me, and put it in writing on the bill of sail, that he would pay for a diagnostic check to be done on the vehicle by a mechanic..He said that if anything needed to be fixed, he would pay for it up to $250. He then said that anything over $250 that needed to be fixed, he would pay half.
