This 5 stars is strictly for the Summer food program that is currently being distributed from this location. On Mondays from 11:40am-12pm, Utica School District is passing out 7 day meal boxes for ALL school aged kids. Anyone with a child in school can come and pick up a box of food and a gallon of milk. The boxes contain 7 days worth of breakfasts and 7 days worth of lunches, along with a gallon of milk. I have 5 kids in the district and I'm happy to take advantage of this awesome program! The food is all individually packaged, so it easy to store in your fridge, freezer or pantry. And everything in the boxes is all good food! A quick list includes drink boxes, breakfast bars, breads and Pop-Tarts, fruit cups, dried fruit and nuts, frozen pizza slices, subs, Bosco breadsticks, walking taco sticks, pepperoni calzone, and real fruit sorbet. Along with a 2lb bags of frozen GFS veggies and a gallon of 1% milk. All this for 1 child- 7 days worth of food. The workers are awesome- friendly and welcoming and helpful, as they load the food into your vehicle for you- zero contact. There no paper work to fill out and no questions asked. You just simply tell them how many kids you are picking up for. I'll be back weekly on Mondays 11:40am-12pm to pick up my 5 boxes and 5 gallons of milk for my kids. I visited my niece here after she moved in and was surprised with how nice it was. Lots of landscaping but it wasn't crowded. She showed me around the area, the park and the perks of the pool and fitness center. In a nice area of town too. Not too shabby for a trailer park. read more
