Upon arrival, I was asked whether the private instructor had reached out to confirm the lesson. I explained that they had not and even asked whether that was part of their normal protocol. I was told that it was not. Based on that information, I proceeded to get my child changed and prepared for the lesson. After my child was changed and ready, I was then informed that the instructor had to leave due to an emergency. While I completely understand that emergencies happen, the issue was the lack of communication. I should have been notified before driving 45 minutes to the facility and getting my child ready for a lesson that was ultimately canceled. What was even more disappointing was that there was no follow-up communication or effort to address the inconvenience after the canceled lesson. The entire experience was extremely unprofessional and a complete waste of my time. I would not recommend this location. If you value your time and expect basic communication and professionalism, I would strongly suggest going elsewhere.

Unruly teenagers rule the roost! They fight, they bring weapons, they bully, and there are no consequences. By the time the police are called, the perpetrators run off before the police arrive. Yet, the same troublemakers are allowed to return in order to start their mess all over again! This center is in dire need of security! If they keep the rift raft out, this would be a great safe place to bring the entire family!

Also plenty of nice people who will help spot you if you need it, just gotta ask! Mornings around 9 are busy so prepare accordingly if you need to go then! If weights aren't your thing you can jump on one of the many treadmills, ellipticals, or stationary bikes (including Peloton!) that are available. Lots of swim programs and and a bevy of group exercise classes round out just about anything you'd ever want to do at a gym. Don't forget the childcare options! Our kids love it and always ask to go to the gym with us so they can play. You'll love the staff, the atmosphere, and all the options for health a fitness!

The lifeguard informed me…read morethat our children had to take a swim test is they either (1. wanted to swim without an adult/parent in the water with them) or (2. wanted to be allowed to swim outside the arms length of the parent/adult). I was in the water with my 8 & 11 year old children because I feel like it is the responsible thing to do when you take your children to a pool regardless of their swim capabilities. I allow my 11 year to attempt the test for fun. The lifeguard wanted them to swim the length of the pool which my children can do. However, the lifeguard would not pass my child because the swim stroke was not perfect. I have personally been a lifeguard, swim instructor, and swim team coach for over 20 years. My children know their strokes but I have not forced them to be on teams or swim long distance. Do I want them to, yes. But I have not forced it. My children have good strokes for more than half the pool distance but get tired toward the end and get sloppy but are not in danger. The strokes just don't look as nice as they did. Our children visit our neighborhood pool just about everyday in the summer and swim unassisted with no issues. It is winter and perhaps the kids are a little out of practice in the 4-5 months since it has been warm enough to attend the neighborhood pool but again, not in danger and swim fine. But not competitive swimmers. We were told that my daughter did not pass the test even though she could swim unassisted the length of the pool. So we just tried to enjoy our time in the pool and planned to try again another day. However, then the lifeguard reprimanded me multiple times because my 8 and 11 year old swimming children were outside of an arms length of distance from me. Again they swim on their own, and I am in the water with them if they need me. The swim test expectations are too high and I now understand why there were no other families there on a Saturday afternoon. The swim test expectations are too high and the lifeguards to strict on their arms length rule for families to enjoy this pool. Again, I have been a lifeguard, instructor, and swim coach for 20 years so I have a solid base of knowledge with which to make this assertion. I attempted to connect with YMCA on this via email. My email was forwarded to the Aquatics Director and I have not received any response. We are planning to cancel this membership as our children cannot go and enjoy the pool because the rules are too strict and I understand this industry better than most. With rules this strict, the lifeguard is really a waste of money as they basically don't allow children in the pool and only adults may swim. I would still love a response but If I do not get one, we will continue with cancelation. Good luck if you have children and planned to use this pool.

But then you quickly learn that all teachers are not created equal at this facility Miss Sheena was awesome because of the type of person she was. Spread into pre-K with Miss Mingo everything turned to trash. We were being lied to. She was sending aggressive messages in the portal then deleting them. But I screen shot everyone. They took something from my car and lied about it not knowing I had dash cams. The director basically told me I was lying until I told her I had dash cams and the entire turn changed. The building does not seem to be up to code. Over the winter their pipes broke for EIGHT WEEKs. According to other parents this was the third time they flooded AND THE CONTINUED TO COLLECT from the state CAPS and from self pay parents FOR EIGHT WEEKS. They weren't even paying their staff. I walked in one day to a teacher crying. I consoled her, she told me they threatened to fire her if she went to her scheduled OB appointments and couldn't take anymore time off. Well that federal law and illegal. One day they put my daughter in my car balling her eyes out. I asked her what had happened "ms. Mingo wouldn't let me go potty" she was soaking in urine and they put her in my car. Mingo lied to us and her employers. They would constantly defend her but again they continue to forget I have dash cams and filmed the entire circumstance. During our parent teacher conference, I also had to film because she would spew out several lies or act like I never asked questions that I had several questions for when addressed to Chelsea or Jalisha they would stick up for the teacher, even though I had proof. This always put them in a tizzy but always rejected to see the proof. Aftercare is a complete joke. It's basically a young teenager with a cell phone sitting in a corner playing on their phones. Kids had their collar bones broken in aftercare. They mixed them with the older kids, including Older kids from other schools Who were playing entirely too rough to have a four-year-old in the room. They claimed they're always filming, but they will never show you the proof. Jalisha And Chelsea purposely would not put cameras into their office, so whatever they told you in there, they could lie about later. Every kid is just a dollar amount they don't care how they get their money they don't care how they'll take care of your child as long as you're paid up. And they especially don't care about their employees. The only thing my daughter gained from pre-K was PTSD
