Charles Tyrwhitt - Useful 'decision hooks' in the fitting room

Yes of course they're there to make a sale, but at no point did I feel any pressure to buy. Looking for a decent shirt for the wedding of friends of mine, after a quick measuring with tape and being presented with their 'tester shirts' (you don't try on the ones you'd buy, these are to find out which fitting suits you best) I was shown to their fitting rooms. After trying on a few and deciding on a style, it was over to the shelving and they brought down some options. I ended up with a lovely crisp shirt for just shy of £35. For the level of attention I received I was expecting it to cost three times that price. I left with a smile on my face and you know what? They've hooked me as a return customer now. I'll gladly spend my money where they treat customers with such regard.

Best place to get your white crisp cotton shirt. They have many different sizing and fittings which…read moreincludes the size of your neck, the length of your sleeves, the different styles of collar, french cuff/single cuff and how slim fit you want your shirt to be. The quality for a £30 shirt is miles ahead of what Thomas Pink and other competitors are offering at north of £100. Many of their jackets are half/fully lined with functioning button holes which are very hard to find for the price they are charging in this day and age. The customer service is very friendly too!

One of the best formal clothes outlets ever!!! Defiantly my go to for formal wear. I'm surprised…read morethis is yet to be reviewed. For people who are unaware, Slater's are a formal and partially casual clothes shop. Selling a wide range of Suits, ties, shirts, shoe's...You get the idae. However, they offer such a greater experience than just your average shop. This all boils down to the staff. The whole shop floor situates on the 2nd floor, completely open planned with clothing in every place possible. The layout is neither cluttered, or overwhelming, and you can find your own way round very easily. The staff here treat you like royalty, which is unusual for a shop of such class and amazing quality clothes. They will happily help you pick out the right suit to match you as a person, recommending certain colours, sizes and even styles. Once you've done so, they will take everything you've had an interest in, or are willing to purchase and place it on a centred table. as to eliminate the choir or carrying all your purchases, and allowing you to lay them somewhere for you to observe if any second thoughts come into your head. Everything they sell here is pristine. Everything provided for sale here is of excellent quality, and even better is the affordable price tag attached to them. What's especially impressive is the way the shop matches affordable clothing, at an "Expensive" feel (If that makes any sense) If you're looking for your next suit or work clothing for your next meeting/ wedding/ party or even just to wear casually then without a doubt make sure you visit this place, you will not be disappointed. Staff= Excellent, Clothing range= Excellent, quality= Excellent, Price= Excellent ... Just... Wow!! GO THERE NOW!

Antique wardrobes stuffed with jeans call out your name. Now, I have always been turned off by shops selling a lot of denim- maybe too much blue puts me in a blue mood. This is not the case at Jean Genie as my denim phobia is banished by the brightly coloured t- shirts which punctuate the room. I saw a fetching red Superman retro design which my liitle boy would have pestered me for. Well established names such as Wrangler, American Appararel,Hilfiger and Levi link hands with less mainstream brands like Junk Food to which I am a complete convert! I was in the mood for something a little different and Zoe showed me the Junk Food Alice in Wonderland t-shirts which had just arrived. How very topical and truly tempting. Sizes are quite small, I am a 10 and need a medium but there are several styles of one genre. Men's hoodies and tee's paternally protect clothing for bambinos, OMG how cute, there are t-shirts for little ones here. Zoe explained to me how they operate a bespoke t-shirt printing service and I think they are onto a winner. Starting from a reasonable £20 you can take in any design you wish, from a photo, to your 5 year old's self-portrait and Jean Genie will transform it into a t-shirt that everyone will notice. Prices increase if the design is hand drawn as opposed to pdf, and also if you want them to use a variety of colours. I left with my £32.50 and worth every penny, Alice in Wonderland top and with an idea for my fashionista daughter's birthday. I was given the shop's innovative flyer( a frisbee) which will give me 10% off my next purchase and as Arnie says...."I'll be back!"
