Having mass every day is an amazing experience and keeps my faith in God strong. I absolutely love how the school was founded around St. Pope John Paul II's "Feminine Genius" idea. All of the girls here are welcoming and friendly, and I know that we all have each other's backs. It's been a great year so far and I can't wait to see where it takes me! Go STARS!

this school is SO BAD. when I shadowed here, the school told me about how since there is 4 - 90…read moreminute classes, you would get 1 on 1 time with your teacher to understand the topic and little to no homework. this is just not true. my history teacher at SCA gives us a homework packet or an outline every day that requires a textbook, but its not just that, Its the fact that we have a research paper due, she gave us a unit test(2 days in advanced), an outline about a textbook module, AND another quiz(map quiz) all due throughout a 3-day weekend. weekends are supposed to let you rest and go to church, and spend time with family, its not ment for staying home(and canceling plans) to stay home for 5 heavy- duty homework and studying. And keep in mine, that is just for ONE class. We have 3 other classes which also assign the same amount of work. so WHEN YOU SHADOW, DOOO NOTTTT believe the lie they tell you about how you will " you have time to do your homework' and they barely have any, because that is the biggest lie ever. They also will say that they give you breaks in between classes, thats bs. never once had i received a break in the 90 minute classes. If you want mental health problems: you should sit in one of these stupid 90 min classes. and the girls, they are THEE most rudest, self-centered, lying, gossiping, two-faced, BOPS you will EVER meet in your life. The school accepts everyone who applies so even if you have all bad grades and bad behavior they will still take you bc they don't actually care about the kids, this is why everyone at the school is bad. They talk about " Sisterhood". Im sorry, that the last thing it ever was. All the girls already know each other from middle school and already all hate each other and ALLLLL have drama. Like what were they thinking when they decided to put 63 girls in a grade?? like did yall think we were all js gonna get along and harmonize. NOPE!!! while my time here at sca, It has come to my attention that a full grown adult male teacher had a sexual affair with a student. This is NOT okay! especially in a "private" catholic school that is supposed to be "good", you would think they would want the best teachers avalible, NO! this just shows you they hire anyone aswell as take anyone. They genuinely do not care about what happens to you. Its all about the money. Ever since i graduated and went to collage i have no attention spam. The 90 min classes broke me. if you were to ask me to sit down for just 5 min and not fidget around, i couldn't. I have adhd now. also, if there is any grammar issues just remember about how bad the school system at saint catherines is. if there was a zero- stars option, i would put that instead of 1.

I won't recommend anyone for this school!

At the time he was experiencing a lack of motivation due to the death of a his father. He came into the school with a bit of an attitude about school. Initially, He was not motivated to apply himself. I did not understand the concept of Clon lara when I enrolled him, but after trusting my son and trusting Clon Lara, I am happy to say that he is graduating and has achieved more than I could have dreamed from his public school experience. Clon Lara is a blessing. It took more than the first year for me to truly understand the concept. Seeing the results of a balanced, motivated, confident young man who is working and ready to attend college, is what came out of this student led learning environment.

As a parent, I would not recommend this school…read more My special needs child attended for elementary school and they promised me a specialized program. In fact, they used it as a selling point. I did not get a special program, nor did other parents who were also promised the same. Some of those parents, were even asked for more tuition money once the school year started to "accommodate" their child. They nickle and dime you for every little thing and, unfortunately, you don't see the return on the money you are paying. Many updates/upkeep to the school have been through donations of time and money by parental volunteers. It appears, with low class sizes this school struggles to pay staff and maintain the building leaving no additional funds for necessary supplies and the professionals services which many of these children obviously need. The authoritarian way the school is ran ensures things are kept quiet. If you do speak up, prepare to have your child pay the price. It happens.

The head of the school is only concern with protocol and making sure the tuition is paid on time (which our was on time and before the due date). The teachers are nitpicky, with everything the children do. What they want are mindless robots. My son, witness the continuous mistreatment of a boy with Autism and these incidents were reported and nothing happened. I read another review from a parent, if the parent is not a teacher at the school than your child doesn't have a chance. My son was touched inappropriately by another student (younger) and I reported the incident and it happened again with not action taken by the administrator. Come to find out the problem child was a child of an administrator at the school so, I went to the Canton police and reported it... of course action was finally taken by the school. This wasn't the school for our family.

The school offers high quality experiences not only to children, but also to parents and staff members. The campus includes beautiful indoor and outdoor classrooms that are thoughtfully set up with activity offerings for children. I observed the intentionally of the teachers to create a curriculum that matches the unique interests and skill levels of the children in their care. The growth of the children is then lovingly documented in learning stories and evidence that is displayed throughout the campus. I walked away inspired to incorporate in my own classroom many of the things I saw. If I were raising young children in the Highland area, I would certainly enroll them at Building Blocks.
