He was always available to text and really, really knew his stuff. Then, to get more clarity on the admissions process, I signed up for an admissions counseling session with the managing partner Mayssoun Bydon. I was shocked by how big a waste of time and money this was. It's an incredibly expensive service, at around $500 an hour. I had prepared a long list of questions and wanted to use that time as effectively as possible. Not only did she show up over 25 minutes(!) late for the session, she was remarkably unengaged and gave information that was more than unhelpful. I was shocked by her lack the lack of professionalism she exhibited for someone with such a good reputation. I asked about the character and the experience of what it would be like to go to different law schools, and she told me just to look at their rankings "and that would tell me the vast majority of what I needed to know". I asked with my scores what schools I should be applying for, and she told me University of Illinois, University of Iowa, etc. I told her this wasn't right, and that my GPA seemed lower than it actually was bc I went to an undergrad school known for its lack of grade inflation. She told me this didn't matter, and that I shouldn't bother with top schools. Well, I ended up getting accepted into schools in the T-14. If I followed her advice I would have missed a massive opportunity. Also, she asked me if I had any personal connections to any of the top schools. I told her that my great uncle had been a janitor at the Unicersity of Chicago. She insinuated that I should lie and say he was my grandfather on the application. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

They made me feel steady but a little sad. Then, we entered the Michigan League. My first impression of it was that it is an old building because it has wood panel walls. Next, we went to the upper floors. There were a lot of meeting rooms and some sofas in the gallery. They looked very comfortable. I sat on a sofa, and it was very soft. We saw a stained glass window when we went down the stairs. It was shining and so beautiful! Last, we went to the underground. There were seats, an ATM, computers and a lot of colorful pillars. For some of us, it felt like a prison because it was a quiet place, with a bare ceiling, and with small jail bars. There was an old table covered with carved names. It was carved in 1911! I was so surprised by its old history, and I felt that students were actually living here. We could see very beautiful and historical things. The Michigan League is a must see place in Ann Arbor.

Kudos to Dr Alfred Young Jr. , Chair of Afroamerican studies with joint appointment in Sociology for moderating an excellent panel of fellow faculty well versed and prepared in their respective disciplines. I learned so much and felt right at home. However to the point of this review... I was so very glad to have this commitment to bring me to the MI League as this building is absolutely GORGEOUS with its stone floors, well-preserved wood beams, stairwells, paneling, etc. That add to its earthy, timeless decor. Oh how I wish I could get this building's creators, designers, renovators, etc to come and add at least some beautiful stone floors to my own humble home! Hey- University of Michigan - if you're listening know that I'd accept any semblance of this. Thanks for providing this beautiful edifice to enjoy. Even the student staff are a benefit.
