It is 100% bait and switch- and NOT for families. The rules seemed strict, but there is crap everywhere in front of sites and it is a literal dump! There is a mound of mattresses piled up in the driveway. The site we paid for- we couldn't even reach with our electric, without hitting a tree. We left. Without a refund. We were in town for a softball tournament and thankfully found a place that was at least clean.

So this is really more of a 2.5 stars. Not a bad place, all spots have 30A and 50A hookups as well…read moreas water and sewer. It is right off a highway so if road noise bothers you I'd look somewhere else. The interior roads are all gravel and the entry is a bit confusing at night. Be extra careful to not drag your wheels off the side either (Especially on the west...) because you'd be stuck for good. Most the people here seem like they are full timers so the number of transient spots is pretty limited but everyone was quiet and pretty much kept to themselves. It is an added bonus though if you are travelling with horses because they have accommodations for that for some extra cost. Several pull through spots as well as some that you have to back in to. Make sure and scout your area before unhooking. I saw the power/water utilities and assumed that was the hookup side. Turned out that the sewer was on the other side (Along with a dual water/electric hookup for the two spots there) and didn't realize it until I was unhooked, jacked and leveled. We just waited until we left to turn around and dump, but it would have been a hassle if we were there for much longer. We called the owner Thursday night to ask where to park and he got us set up just fine. Didn't meet him until Saturday but was a polite guy running a reasonably clean place that serves a niche market. He has another guy on site more or less full time for emergencies but prefers to handle most regular business himself. We'd probably stay here again since the road noise didn't bother us especially at $20/night, but if there was a place further back off the highway where we could let the kids play a little more we'd probably prefer that.

Park has an amphitheater and horseshoe courts (BYOH - bring your own horseshoes, I guess). Two stars because the bathroom is naaaaaaaasty. I guess if you're staying in the RV park you BYOB (bring your own bathroom) but for us day tripper folks stopping at the park for a picnic, you'll be wanting to pee behind a tree. I don't think someone's been by to clean those toilets since the day they were installed. Barf

Gentleman that owns the place is very friendly. Cash only. Drive in, stop at the stop sign, and he'll drive up in a 4x4 terrain vehicle, take payment, and assign you a plot. Will be back.
