Other tongue-tie specialists were "booked" and were giving several weeks minimum before we could get an initial appointment! As a parent with a child in pain - this is a brutal thought! Dr. Baxter reserves appointment times for parents in these sort of emergency situations. He cares deeply and has HIGH integrity with his patients while also exhibiting strong leadership skills with his staff. The entire office experience from start to finish is one of compassionate care. I always had enough time to comfort and nurse my little one before and after my appointment in a private room away from everything. I could easily access our medical records at any time and all my questions were acknowledged and answered. oh, I almost forgot. We received a phone call the afternoon after our tongue-tie surgery from Dr. Baxter himself checking-in on our child's status and he gave us insights and alleviated any fears about post-op procedures. We also could text a phone number at any time, as needed. Then weeks later, he welcomed us back for an unexpected additional appointment to alleviate another very new parent concern without shaming us or charging us. lol I sincerely thank God for Dr. Baxter. Can not recommend this man and his lovely, caring staff enough.

Whereas I expected to be talked into getting a crown, Dr Lafont fixed the broken tooth with a build-up of resin procedure. As a side note, I also got my teeth cleaned by Raven immediately following the repair of the broken tooth. She did an excellent job and provided some info that I'm thankful to have received. Being early January, I'd not yet swapped-out my insurance card in my wallet, which caused a computer-generated automatic denial of coverage. And, the receptionist assisted by contacting my insurance company, verified that I have coverage, and efficiently dealt with the administrative SNAFU. The only negative that I can identify is that the entrance to their parking lot is steep. So, it's wise to drive slowly when entering their parking lot. I highly recommend Stone Creek Dental Care in Alabaster, AL! Larry G.

However, my husband also has transitioned to this office, along with one of our adult children. Besides my dentist, there has been a lot of transition in the office, with all but one of his previous staff leaving by this year. I also noticed that the other dentists in the office have changed several times, with only my dentist being the same one still there within 18 months. I have not had the same hygienist clean my teeth in the three times I've been there. This is a bit of a change from any dental practice I've ever experienced, ever throughout the course of several decades in a couple states. I guess the dental industry is changing a bit, and if you are going to a chain dentist, you aren't going to have the same person cleaning your teeth every 6 months for years. I will probably miss walking and recognizing people, or having them ask about the kids and family, but as long as I get a good cleaning every 6 months, that should be sufficient. I'll be interested to see who might be there next year when I go back.
