A "must do" if you ever visit Santa Fe, NM, is the Native American Vendors Program of the Palace of…read morethe Governors. Daily, year round, the jewelry and craft makers from the pueblos surrounding Santa Fe set up displays to sell their wares outside the Palace, facing the Plaza. While the local artists who have achieved some renown have their items displayed in the shops around Santa Fe, the local Native American families, often with the help of mom, dad, and kids, spread out blankets in their assigned stalls. It's really something to see! Especially as the vendors move their wares on the blankets using long sticks with hooks on the end! :-) And, there is something for everyone... jewelry, turquoise, silver, beadwork, small crafts. It's just fun to browse and talk to the vendors. They truly are wonderful people, and we enjoy supporting them! And, much of the jewelry is beautiful, some better than what you'll find in the shops. Lots of jewelry for men too, so don't be shy about shopping! LOL But beware, they are tough negotiators! Great value to be had, at a fair price! Recommend you visit with the Native American Vendors whenever you can, it's a blessing to interact with and support them!

The night before, I checked out Kenny's and my eyes were drawn to a certain unusual gorgeous red opal ring. The next day I checked out several jewelery shops, but none began to compare to Kenny's in terms of selection, customer care, and kindness. I bought the ring I had locked in on at Kenny's and they were gracious, helpful, understanding (I needed to have the ring sized up and they gladly did it within 24 hours!). The owner as well as all staff were delightful and honestly committed to ensuring that the riing I bought was the ring I had fallen in love with and would treasure forever. I could not recommend this business more highly. Thank you, Kenny's!... C. Fox

After looking through online reviews we found a recommendation for Turquoise House so I stopped in. The owner is wonderful! He was so kind and really spent the time getting to know us and what we were interested in. When I found a signed vintage piece that was out of my price range, he worked with us to get it to a price we could manage. We left feeling like we had a new friend in the business. When we looked further at the hallmark and researched the artist more, we found that the piece we bought is valued at 30% more than we paid. Not that we will ever sell it. I know this review sounds a little gushy but just look at the photo and you'll get it.
