In my personal experience, the hygienist's attitude flipped out of nowhere. Instead of maintaining the same kindness she began with, she started mock what I would say and ask condescending question . Not just once over and over. I couldn't believe I was sitting in a professional medical setting being spoken to that way. It was uncomfortable, humiliating, and honestly baffling. I was literally stuck in the chair while someone who is supposed to be a healthcare professional acted like I was a joke. By the end, I walked out feeling worse than when I walked in. A dental office should make patients feel safe, respected, and cared for not embarrassed. During my appointment I felt all of those things. In my opinion, the behavior I experienced was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I will definitely not be returning, and I'd strongly suggest anyone who values basic courtesy think twice before booking an appointment here. ABSOULUTLEY UNBELIEVABLE!!

I have been billed out of pocket twice because they don't know how to properly submit anything to insurance. Do not recommend unless you have a lot of free time and don't mind the headache.

When I…read moreasked to see or have the X-rays explained clearly, I did not feel I was given a transparent or thorough explanation. I also felt pressured toward expensive procedures without enough evidence being shown to me. Because of how uncomfortable the situation felt, I decided to get a second opinion in early 2026. Another dentist evaluated me, adjusted my bite, and determined that I did not need a root canal. At a follow-up cleaning with X-rays, I was told I had no cavities. This large difference in diagnosis raised serious concerns for me. I also made the office aware of my condition and that I may need clearer communication and patience during appointments. I did not feel those needs were acknowledged or accommodated. The communication felt rushed and dismissive, which made the experience more stressful. Due to the lack of transparency, the pressure for treatment, and the way my concerns were handled, I no longer feel comfortable returning. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to major dental work here.

Since I didn't feel confident with that diagnosis, I sought a second opinion at Aspen Dental, where I was informed that the tooth didn't need to be removed at all--only a deep cleaning was necessary. Such a serious misdiagnosis is unacceptable and completely destroys patient trust. Be careful and always get a second opinion before undergoing invasive procedures." Dr Golnar Khalili

I've been using Dr. Whitaker for over 15 years going back to when he worked for Central Park West Dentistry. I now travel 45 minutes to Rolling Hills; he is that good.

Dateline May 25, 2022:…read more I posted a review about Dr. Blake Winokur & his incredible team some months back. I believe it's important to check back after some time has passed to see if my initial thoughts were accurate or in need of some update: well, I'm happy to report an update is necessary. Let's start with this; if I could give Dr. Winokur 11 stars, it wouldn't be enough. Here are the relevant takeaways: 1) I returned to the practice after writing my initial review for a number of issues: including cavities that needed to be filled; a chipped tooth; fillings that needed to be replaced; bonding that needed to be redone (the work of another practitioner just didn't hold up!). In every instance, the work done was the best you could hope for. Pro, compassionate, and incredibly well-done. 2). The above mentioned bonding was a challenge. Dr. Winokur knocked the work out of the park. I can smile again, and I feel great about my teeth. 3). My girlfriend visited the practice (on my recommendation) and her chipped tooth disappeared. Perfect work. Painless. And with rave reviews from her. 4). The support team here is the best I've ever worked with. 5) I now come in every three months for a cleaning. Eloise is remarkable, and the best hygienist I've ever known. Killer. In a great way. 6) Jess and the front office team are buttoned up, incredibly friendly, and helpful in ways you wished every doctor's office could be. 7) Dental insurance leaves something to be desired. This practice works with you to make sure you're getting the best coverage and value, and they try and minimize out-of-pocket(to the best of their ability) no matter what the circumstance. Bottom line. Dr. Blake Winokur is a NYC dentist who now works full-time in Danbury. His practice is state-of-the-art, clean, incredibly well-equipped, and pretty-much perfect in every way. If you try this team, you will be amazed. More than that, you'll wish every health care practitioner was this good. If you're reading this review please note this is not a one-off perspective. Almost a year later and numerous visits later I can report my information is solid and you should take this recommendation and run with it.
