The annual follow up appointments with Dr. Zaffos are always brief & productive, but because of the wait, we'd be lucky to be out of there in 1.5 hours. I went to local ER (live 45 miles from Ft. Worth), and the dr. there got hold of Dr. Hajovsky who agreed to meet me at his office even though they were closed. Without any nurses, he spent 2 hours with procedures to stop further damage and help start to mend. Wednesday was the surgery, and a follow up the next day. I am a disabled veteran and I have just recently retired and have moved off my Corporate America insurance policy. So, I now rely on the VA for my medical services. I have tried for over a year to get this Dr.'s group's back office (and so have both of my great Doctors there) to accept VA payments so I can maintain my medical relationship with my 2 doctors. Sadly, during this entire time - the person in charge of the dept. that oversees these types of asks has said they will not accept payment from the VA - EVER! So, they clearly - have "ZERO" respect for Veterans. I am amazed at the run-around I have gotten, no call backs, and complete disrespect I have received from this back office team! Rude and argumentative is the common theme when you mention you are a veteran! So "hats off" to the most non-friendly VETERAN back office team in America!!! RAH - USMC!

He did an exam and based on his findings suggested that she begin Eye Therapy with Matt. She has been seeing him weekly for several months and he has helped her so much. The therapy is tough on her (headaches), but he makes it fun and she enjoys going. We have seen so much improvement and will continue seeing him as long as we can. The office staff is also great and helpful. I highly recommend this office!

To this day surgeons in his field of ophthalmology comment on his amazing work and cannot believe I had the surgery so long ago. They always assume that the surgery was done in the not so distant past because of Dr. Granek's advanced technique. He doesn't have the best bedside manner but who cares? The man is a genius who routinely operates on preemies. I wanted to adjust apt. to get a later time. Wasn't happening. Person who answered phone said first-time patients always get early times. I asked what the reason for that was and she said, "that's the policy". I said, "that's not a reason". So, she promptly started to argue with me by saying that is a reason. After a few back-and-forth statements, I figured it out that I didn't want to do business with an outfit that treated unknown and NEW customers this way. So, I cancelled on the spot and have contacted my regular doc for another referral. Glaucoma Associates of Texas..."you're receptionist/scheduler sucks". "Fire her or send her back to people skills school".
