I HIGHLY recommend seeing UCI Dr Sumit "Sam" Garg. He saved me from the wrong surgery, wrong lens, and horrible. unnecessary expense. UCI is one of the few places in Orange County that is not a cataract money grab mill. If only every doctor would take such care for the well being of their patients. Also UCI is quite a bit less expensive than the 4 quotes i got from other Ophthalmologist, about 1/3rd less m, for multi focal lens or EOD lens. Also my cataracts are mild to moderate, NOT one grade less the severe! Quite a different story at UCI!!! They are soooo amazing. Dr Garg of UCI took great care and time to explain his plan to improve my vision. Maybe cataract surgery down the road, and due to my condition, definitely not multi focal lens which would exacerbate its weakness of night time lights halo effect. Everyone talks up cataract surgery as it is the most common surgery performed. However, it is still surgery and the outcome affects your most precious eyesight! Go to the best. I've been wearing glasses and contact lenses for over 20 years . It was tiresome having to take off…read moremy contacts everyday; including every time I showered, went swimming, took a nap, and before bedtime. The expenses for contact lenses, disinfecting solution, moistening drops, and annual eye exams kept adding up year after year. It was time I get LASIK while I'm still young because it maximizes years of contacts-free living and saves money over time. I did extensive research on LASIK providers and chose Dr. Feinerman for four reasons: 1) He did successful ICL surgery for my wife and she's had 20/20 vision ever since 2) He takes care of you from A to Z: He personally does all consultations, eye surgeries, and follow-up visits 3) He has over 20 years of experience and was a Chair of Ophthalmology at Hoag 4) He has many known celebrity/influencer clients (one of them Kobe, RIP). At my consultation, his assistants did diagnostic tests on my eyes to determine my candidacy. Dr. Feinerman said I qualified for Wavelight Plus LASIK (as opposed to traditional). The difference is that Wavelight Plus has higher rates of achieving 20/20 vision or better, and improved night vision. Not everyone can qualify for this so I chose this one. On the day of my surgery, it was done at his vision center and took less than an hour. I chose classical music to play in the background. My eyes were disinfected and numbed with solution. I laid on the operating table as Dr. Feinerman did the procedure and talked with me every step of the way. It didn't hurt at all and I was surprised it was quick ~15 mins. The moment it was done, I could see clearly as if I was wearing contact lenses. I was given a home care kit to take home and follow the schedule of eye drops to ensure my eyes recover. The next day I came in for a follow-up, did some vision tests, and Dr. Feinerman said I now have 20/20 vision. That was less than 24 hours from surgery so I can only hope for even better than 20/20 soon. For those those of you who are tired of wearing glasses and contacts, I highly suggest you invest in yourself and get LASIK. If you qualify, stop by Dr. Feinerman's office and I promise you won't regret it. I'm glad I did!

From my initial consultation through surgery and every follow up visit, the entire experience was exceptional. Everything was organized, efficient, and professional. Dr. Feinerman and his staff treated me with kindness, respect, and genuine care, and I always felt well informed and completely at ease. Looking back after 10 years of excellent vision, I knew I wanted the same level of expertise and care when it was time for my next procedure. When I recently learned that I needed refractive lens exchange (RLE) surgery, I never considered going anywhere else. Returning to Dr. Feinerman after 10 years was an easy decision because of the confidence and trust he earned during my first experience with him. My preoperative appointment was incredibly thorough. Dr. Feinerman performed a comprehensive examination, carefully reviewed my results, and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. He made sure I knew exactly what to expect, and his knowledge, experience, and attention to detail immediately put me at ease and reinforced that I had made the right decision. I had my first RLE surgery yesterday, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. Seeing Dr. Feinerman before and after the procedure was incredibly reassuring, and my postoperative appointment today confirmed that everything is progressing as expected. Because my experience has been so positive, I have already scheduled surgery for my other eye. What truly sets Dr. Feinerman apart is not only his exceptional surgical skill but also the confidence he inspires in his patients. He never rushes through appointments and takes the time to answer every question thoroughly, ensuring you feel comfortable every step of the way. His professionalism, meticulous approach, and commitment to achieving the best possible outcome are evident in every interaction. His office staff deserves recognition as well. They are welcoming, organized, efficient, and always willing to help. Every interaction has been very pleasant, and every appointment has been handled professionally and efficiently. Your vision is priceless, and choosing the right surgeon is one of the most important healthcare decisions you'll ever make. Dr. Feinerman combines exceptional surgical expertise with integrity, precision, experience, and genuine compassion. He is the kind of surgeon who makes you feel confident from your very first consultation and continues to earn your trust every step of the way. After trusting him with my eyes twice over the past 10 years, I can say without hesitation that I would recommend him to my own family and closest friends. If you're looking for an experienced, skilled, and compassionate eye surgeon, you can feel confident knowing you're in the hands of someone who is dedicated to excellence and committed to providing outstanding care from your first consultation through your final follow up. I'll be back to update this review after my second surgery and let everyone know how everything turned out. Based on my experience so far, I couldn't be happier with my decision to trust Dr. Feinerman with my vision.

From the moment I met him during my consultation, I felt confident that I was in excellent hands. He took the time to answer my questions and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. Everyone in the office was incredibly helpful, supportive, and attentive, guiding me through both the preparation and post-operative stages. The day of surgery was very well organized, making the experience smooth and stress-free. My recovery was surprisingly quick and virtually painless. Most importantly, I am very happy with my results. I am grateful to Dr. Joseph and his team for their professionalism, care, and outstanding work.

I cannot recommend Dr. Jeffrey Joseph highly enough…read more I first came to Dr. Joseph a few years ago because I was unhappy with the appearance of my under-eye area. Before finding him, I had been told by other providers that filler was the answer for the unevenness under my eyes. Unfortunately, it only made things worse. After consulting with Dr. Joseph, I finally understood that what I actually needed was a lower blepharoplasty--not filler. That surgery completely refreshed my appearance while still looking incredibly natural. Friends would tell me I looked well-rested, and I honestly felt like I looked 10 years younger. As I approached 43, I noticed my upper eyelids had begun resting on my lash line. My eyes constantly looked tired, and my makeup routine had gone from about 7 minutes to nearly 30 because I was trying so hard to make my eyes look more open and awake. I knew it was time to go back to Dr. Joseph for an upper blepharoplasty. Just like my first experience, everything was exceptional. His office is one of the most organized and caring medical practices I've ever worked with. The communication before, during, and after surgery was incredibly thorough, and they made me feel supported every step of the way. They even surprised me by sending a beautiful bouquet of flowers to my home after surgery--a thoughtful gesture that perfectly reflects the kind of practice they run. The surgery itself was far easier than I had imagined. I was much more nervous than I needed to be. I never even needed Tylenol afterward, and my recovery was remarkably quick. By day eight, I looked almost completely normal. I'm now seven weeks post-op, and people constantly ask me if I've done something different because I look younger. I always happily tell them about Dr. Joseph. One thing I've realized is how many women in their 40s don't even know what blepharoplasty can do. The funny thing about your 40s is that you still feel like you're in your early 30s, but sometimes the mirror doesn't reflect how youthful you actually feel. I work hard to take care of myself through diet, exercise, and a healthy lifestyle, and Dr. Joseph's work helped my outside finally match how I feel inside. I don't look "done"--I simply look like the best version of myself. Beyond his incredible surgical skill, Dr. Joseph has one of the best bedside manners of any physician I've ever met. He immediately puts you at ease and has such a warm, approachable, caring personality that it feels like you've known him for years. While many plastic surgeons perform eyelid surgery, Dr. Joseph has dedicated his career exclusively to oculoplastic surgery. That level of specialization matters. The eyes are the focal point of your face, and achieving a natural result requires tremendous expertise. I've personally seen blepharoplasty results from surgeons who don't specialize in eyelids, and the difference is obvious. Dr. Joseph's results are elegant, balanced, and beautifully natural. Finally, I have to recognize his incredible staff. From the front desk girls, to Jennie (his right-hand gal), to his wonderful surgery coordinator, every single person is kind, welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making your experience a positive one. If you're considering eyelid surgery, I truly cannot recommend Dr. Jeffrey Joseph and his team enough. It was one of the best investments I've ever made in myself, and I would choose him again without hesitation.

I went to see my ophthalmologist & he said he wouldn't medically clear me unless the surgeon is Dr. Tooma. I finally get around to getting a consultation & specifically asked for Dr. Tooma. He also had very limited appts since he is the OG in eye procedures! My patient Liason was Jennfier, who is a total sweetheart. Dr. Tooma was awesome in explaining why he recommended EVO ICL over lasix. He was also one of the original surgeons who brought all this technology to California. Now I can see why my ophthalmologist wanted me to specifically see him. I decided to go with his recommendation since he is the expert. Pre-op procedures were very extensive, which I don't mind at all. I opted to purchase the medicated eyedrops through them. The procedure itself was at a different location nearby. Entire staff has been wonderful. I had my procedure done yesterday. I returned to the clinic in the afternoon for a post op check & also came back earlier today. I have not been able to drive due to the healing process, but I should be able to see. I am still sensitive to the light and there's still a lot of inflammation in both eyes. I am gradually able to see better, so it just takes some patience. I am returning for another check up tomorrow. I love how thorough the doctors have been..I feel comfortable knowing I have been in good hands. As long as my vision improves and I don't have to wear contacts or glasses, I can't complain!

Before moving forward with surgery, I spent a significant amount of time researching surgeons to ensure I was making the best possible decision. Although Dr. Tooma's fees were higher than some others I considered, I firmly believe you get what you pay for -- and I was more than willing to invest in the highest level of care and expertise. The results were life-changing. After wearing thick glasses for most of my life, waking up with clear vision felt nothing short of amazing. Even now, as I've gotten older and experienced some natural age-related changes in my vision, I can still see clearly at a distance and only need glasses occasionally. For anyone considering LASIK, it's important to be aware of potential side effects such as dry eye and halos around lights at night. I did experience both, but the dry eye symptoms significantly improved over time. If I had to make the decision again, I would absolutely choose Dr. Tooma without hesitation. I'm incredibly grateful for the care I received and highly recommend him to anyone considering LASIK.
