I needed some great photos for my daughter who is getting into acting and modeling and needed not only something for a head shot, but a series of interesting and marketable photos of her. We shot at a park (outside only due to COVID restrictions that month) and the park she chose had many different cool backgrounds so I had many different looks to choose from. I love photos... of my loved ones, of my pets, of myself even. But I HATE actually having my picture taken because I get really self conscious and nervous. I did one of her free sittings, which was part of an event that we attended. The photos were cute, but we couldn't get the digital copies - even though they're taken with a digital camera. Since I want to be able to turn my studio photos into cards, etc, I'm not going to pay that much money for a full studio session and not get my photos. The session and prints are pricey enough, which is fine for the quality, but without being able to get digital copies, it's not worth it. read more

Stephanie Mohan is an a-m-a-z-i-n-g photographer. She has a wonderful way with babies, kids, families--even animals--instantly putting all at ease so she's able to capture truly genuine, heartfelt images (nothing canned about it). Our big dog is getting old now, so we recently asked her to include him in our family Christmas photos (*no easy task, as he's 130 lbs and a bit nervous). I've used Stephanie for both business shots and family portraits over a span of 10 years. Despite having my business in San Francisco, I make the trek to Fairfax for headshots because Stephanies portraits have a quality to them that is hard to find. I'm not great at posing for a photo shoot, but Stephanie puts you at ease and gets expressions that make for great photos.
