Alongside that this company agreed via email to provide us with all pictures taken, unedited. When we followed up for our pictures several weeks after the wedding we received only 250 staged and edited photos. Upon inquiring we were told the contract supercedes email agreements and that's all were getting. In summary: 1. Cancels day of wedding. Sends 2 amateurs instead. 2. Agrees to terms in email but doesn't follow thru. 3. Took job in Austin but is based in California? Spend the extra cash and ensure you get what you want and expect.

Meg drove out of her way to come to our wedding rehearsal and snap a few pictures of us and get to know our families the night before our wedding. She was ready to go on the morning of the wedding and despite my frazzled nerves (we were running late), she was so calming and sweet. She was out there in the mud and rain getting as many photos as she could on our rainy wedding day and even drove us to our reception. She was able to herd our rowdy group of guests, 1/3 of which didn't even speak English that well, and was quietly everywhere throughout the day. She even brought her husband along and they worked so seamlessly together. The photographer is not someone you hear much about from your guests, but I had at least 5-6 people stop me to tell me how terrific Meg was at our wedding. (And this is before seeing any photos!) She was so cheerful, gentle, and personable that our guests just genuinely LIKED having her around taking their pictures. He then applied some minor edits within Lightroom and within 40 minutes from my initial arrival, I had 2 really sharp headshots which will serve me well for the next 5-7 years. STYLE: Carmen has a photo-journalistic style and is able to capture moments in a very pure and beautiful way. My guests have given me feedback that they hardly noticed Carmen or her second shooter, Jennifer, and yet looking through the pictures we see that they got great shots of everyone. FIRST LOOK: Carmen encouraged us to do a bride/groom session prior to the Ceremony, which turned out to be an excellent idea, despite being somewhat untraditional. She orchestrated a "first look" where I walked up to my awaiting groom with his back turned - and photographed the whole thing, including the look of amazement on his face when he saw me for the first time. Having our "first look" be a private moment was actually really nice and I'm glad we did it prior to the ceremony.
