She quickly responded to every email I sent her. She was extremely helpful in answering all the questions I had about the wedding day and I trusted all the feedback she gave me. She was flexible and understanding through the entire planning process. She took time to come to the wedding venue the night before at the rehearsal to get familiar with everybody in the wedding party and family members whom she would be shooting the following day. She scouted the best locations for pictures and made sure everything was set with the venue coordinator. She did all of this in such a natural and comfortable way that I was completely confident about the wedding day. The day of the wedding, she arrived early and was extremely helpful in keeping the time schedule we had planned. She managed all of my family and bridal party in such a professional and easy going way that not only were we able to get all the shots we wanted, but everyone enjoyed every moment of the process. Kristy is fun and makes everyone feel comfortable having their picture taken. During the ceremony and after, Kristy fit in so easily to every situation and never interrupted a single moment, although each important moment was captured. And then came the photographs. I will never be able to do justice in words the beauty of my wedding pictures. I have hundreds of stunning images that capture the love, emotion, fun, and beauty that was present at my wedding. There are so many candid pictures of the most meaningful moments of that day that I will be able to treasure forever. Kristy is simply the best. My husband & I have been following Kristy's work since 2004. When we got engaged the one thing we were already for sure on was our photographer! It had to be Kristy. We were lucky enough to set a date far enough in the future to ensure her availability. We used her for our engagement photos and were so happy with them! The images are sharp, clear, and vibrant. We had tons of compliments on them. It was great to use her for our engagement photos because it gave us a chance to get comfortable with her taking our photos, though it doesn't take much much since Kristy makes you feel comfortable. She made us laugh and get excited about our wedding. Then came the wedding and she was such a huge help on the day of! She made us feel so special and was great at guiding us and getting the best shot. I didn't even hear her camera make a sound during the ceremony once, yet she captured so many beautiful images. Of course we ran behind schedule and she was still able to fit in plenty of pictures of our bridesmaids/groomsmen & family photos quickly! After the ceremony we barely even noticed she was there! She blended in well and we never felt like she was in the way. The night before at the rehearsal she scouted out spots for photos, shared her opinions and expertise. She's very professional, responds quickly to e-mails, and will work with you on whatever you want; ie locations & including your pet! I'm SO happy she was our photographer. I can't imagine a better wedding photographer experience than we had with Kristy of Volatile Photo. She's truly as good as it gets. I found Kristy on the Wedding Chicks blog, and was instantly sold on her work -- her photography is really, really good (which is why it shows up on blogs all the time!). Kristy is not only incredibly professional, but she's also warm and personable. She likes to get to know her clients, and takes the time to meet up before a single shot is ever taken. She wants to get a sense of the clients' style, their personalities, and what they're looking for. Our wedding package came with a free engagement session. My then-fiance and I weren't planning on doing an e-session, but we're glad we did. To say Kristy did amazing is an understatement. I have worked with her on many weddings ( I'm a wedding stylist) and friends of mine used her for their weddings, so I knew she was great but to see my wedding documented by her was better than I could have imagined. When my fiancé and I came to Kristy we had a vague concept: classic, vintage, romantic, and most importantly- travel themed. Having been a fan of her work, we knew we wanted to hire her to do our newborn/family photographs. In fact, we hired her early in our pregnancy!
